Ok. There are bad movies. But some of these bad movies can totally throw you for a loop when they insert a scene, however small, that has you rolling on the floor.

Here's one example:
The the movie While You Were Sleeping, there's this shot shot of some kid on a bike, delivering newspapers, i think to establish that is it the next morning. BUT as he's riding, he shifts his weight to much on one toss and wipes out. The first time i saw this i was totally knocked out by how great a falling scene it was, due to the fact that it appeared in this particular movie, of all movies.

So, any examples like taht from any of you?

(man, that was a bad intro wink.gif )

I'm still partial to the vile loathsome creature (wayne knight) in Jurrasic park.

(about to be killed) "you want food? well I haven't got any food"

or from Spinal Tap, "are you concerned about the interest in the band waning?" "I think our audience is becoming more selective."

and the astronaut recruiters in the right stuff have a place in my heart.

This could be seen as an underappreciated scene in the movie, but hardly treasure in a junk heep.

Spinal Tap is just one big chunk of gold. i'm looking for huge, Garbage Island movies that happen to have something very funny within.

The Wedding Singer, while a pretty lame movie overall, has a few parts that make me laugh aloud, despite being affiliated with Adam Sandler (and not being "Billy Madison").

Examples:

-the entire sequence where Steve Buscemi stumbles about drunkenly onstage.

-"Yeah, he was puking pretty hard. I thought a boot was gonna come out of him."

-"Now get out of my VanHalen t-shirt before you jinx the band and they break up."

-"Hey man, I heard about what happened to you the other day. Man, that sucks!"
"Yeah....you know my parents divorced when I was 8, do you want to talk about that?"
"....Why would I want to talk about that?"
"I don't know."

Not exactly pure gold, but still a movie that makes me laugh out loud at least a few times, despite its overall crumminess. Oh, and the last 20 minutes or so has Billy Idol in it, which rules.

Ok, I'm digging deep here.

What about in a very brady sequel where Alice puts Carol's first husband's special seasoning (which Alice found) in the spagetti sauce, which starts the "Oh no I'm tripping with the bradys" cartoon sequence?

I thought it was a nice touch to include ping and pong, the pandas and Marvin the magic bird from the brady kids. (you know, the cartoon where they lived in a treehouse and cindy played electric guitar)

How about when in TWISTER, our lead couple seeking refuge in the storm goes into the barn and they see all of the metal tools hanging on the walls? the rusty yet sharp tools, clippers, saws and such twist in the wind as Helen Hunt and mate look at each other and say "Unh uh!"

Reader, is this close to what you're going for?

there was a scene in Willard right before Bergnine gets it. willard says "You made me hate myself..." and goes off.

they used to play that bit for the tv commercial for the cbs late movie in the late '70s. over and over again. It made me laugh.

I was reminded of this scene lately.

In Race with the Devil (1974) the devil worshippers are chasing our friendly motor home, biker buds across the highways because a satanic ritual had been seen. there's this skuffle on top of the motor home of a biker bud, looking forward and a druid (convenient synonym. I don't mean to get any druids angry) facing the rear of the vehicle. the bad guy (IMHO, the druid) doesn't see the approaching overpass and gets blown off the bus as peter fonda (I think) ducks and avoids the blow.

well, I thought it was funny. a few days ago I was asking myself for 7 seconds, "this is bothering me. Where have I seen this before?" tongue.gif

I laugh hysterically at the one part in SLC Punk where Steve-O (Matthew Lillard) introduces this one girl at a party to the audience, the dialogue is something like this:

Steve-O: "Sweet as pie, but you do not, repeat DO NOT want to meet this girl in a dark alley when she hasn't had her medication. She will tear you apart! She's a carnivore! Show them!"
Girl: *makes some sort of adorable monster noise*
Steve-O: "Be CAREful!"

The way he says "be careful" always makes me laugh, even though no one else seems to find it funny.

It's got CAP'N LOU?!?!... Superfly!... I've so got to see that movie now.

Airplane was good stuff. I'll give you a polarized negative inverse version of what you're looking for. This really sucky bald guy randomly does things that are supposed to be funny during the movie, except they just aren't funny. The man has no delivery what soever. It's like he's trying too hard at not trying at all. It doesn't ruin the rest of the movie, but it makes me find myself yelling at him to shut the hell up and get off camera... What were they thinking?
