One pill makes you larger
And one pill makes you small
And the ones that mother gives you
Don't do anything at all
Go ask Alice
When she's ten feet tall

The movie is nothing in comparison to the book. Actually the movie detracts from the Alice In Wonderland experience somewhat.

I want to read the book, but i still consider Alice in Wonderland a high-water mark in the Disney filmography, alongside Sword in the Stone aaaand... Dumbo.

I read Alice's Adventures in Wonderland once, but I screwed it up. Since I didn't have time at any other point in the day, I would read a little bit each night (or morning) before I went to sleep. Not exactly the ideal situation for reading when it soon gets to the point where all the letters are blurring together...I don't think I ever finished Through the Looking Glass.

American McGee's ALICE rocks, too. The Cheshire cat kicks ass, and the Mad Hatter's level has always been my favorite. I love that game. It's dark and it's creepy and Alice has a really cool really big knife. cool.gif

Has anyone watched the Hallmark Alice in Wonderland movie? I think it might follow the book a bit more closely.

I think I remember that. Ringo Starr played the walrus and there were dozens of cameos? I also recall an old black and white film with W.C. Fields as Humpty Dumpty.

I've never read the books, but I suppose I should. So much has come from those works. (and gone into wink.gif )
