Why clone Jango Fett???

So, I can't stand watching the prequels straight through, but I watched the scene with the clones the other day in AOTC.

It's mentioned the clones are bred to be obedient. Well, if that is so, why the hell didn't they just clone a million Sith from the very beginning. Nothing else would have mattered, no need to create any twisted plot. No way the galaxy could fend off Palpatine and a million Sith. Nothing from the prequels makes any sense.

Especially when you consider that Mediclorians are biological (George even mentioned that Anakin's power reduced as a result of loss of mediclorians from his injuries and amputations). Not only could they have cloned millions of Sith, they could have selectively bred them to produce offspring with higher and higher mediclorian counts until they have even more than Anakin supposedly had, then cloned the best ones.

I hate it when he took a spiritual and mystical concept like the Force and turned it into a really lame quasi scientifically explained phenomenon.
