One wonders how many of those angry fan responses he predicted he'll get (more than usual, I mean).

Well, he didn't even mention the uninspired gameplay. A million weapons and not one fully automatic shotgun? we have those now. Isn't Borderlands supposed to beset in the future? Come on, where were the lasers and ray guns? It was just slight variations and upgrades on the same five basic weapon types. The designers had the opportunity to go apeshit with all different kinds of weapon ideas and yet they still could not think outside the box.

It was also a Fallout 3 ripoff

Speaking of Fallout 3, I liked it. Are we looking forward to New Vegas? It will of course be spectacularly the same game.

The overall setting sounds better (Not a wasteland),and there's some "Ultra Hard" mode that makes ammo have weight and stim packs heal over time.

Bitchin'.

This is one of the very few games I'm actually interested in, and I really do hope that there'll be some more creativity in Las Vegas... Fallout 3 was nice, but scavenging most of the ruins was just repititive stuff that somehow dragged the experience down.

But hmm, not a wasteland? I dunno, last time I've been there the place seemed to be pretty much surrounded by deserts and mountains. Wonder what it'll look like.

Also, according to wikipedia, Bethesda will stick to publishing this time, and some reassembled members of the original Fallout team will be doing the developing, so awsomness ahoy.

I dunno, but as long as there's an actual city in this game that's not been knocked over and filled with Super Mutants I'll be happy.

It had its moments.

The key was other people. I know, lame, but that is the case in many games with little plot. You play with 1 or two friends and it is basically just a bunch of kill-fest missions where you keep trading weapons until you run out of bad guys.

The WORSt thing was its GUI/server interface. What is with all these console ports? They can't let the PC version host its own game? The lag can be horrible, finding people is very difficult, and sometimes even if you CAN find people, they are mysteriously prevented from playing with you because they decided to use ports 69 and 1313 for game play and only half the people you know can connect to that even though you can all see each other.

Single player? Feh.

Oh, the other thing that is frustrating is not being able to USE weapons because of your level (what, you have to have level 20 to shoot a gun?) or the fact that 2 levels, even with the same weapon, can make an impossible mission a cake walk.

Decent game overall, but not for anyone that has nobody to play with.

Yes, well, the repetitive gameplay, no story progression even though it has a single player campaign and

are serious enough flaws on their own for me not to play this I think.
