I live in Jacksonville Florida, which according to some annual survey has the tenth worst water in America. As if that isn't something to go by, our water company (JEA) owns the electricity, water, and SEWER. That in itself wasn't much until I began to find bits of what looks like toilet paper in my water. Thanks JEA!

So, what i'm asking is, how bad is your cities water?
I finally got my website up. Im pretty stoaked right about now.

Good first post there visitor. If you want an answer to the subtext question, yes, you should move if you can. I sure wouldn't want to take a shower in sewer water.

I live in Vancouver British Columbia. I drink right out of the tap. I have never bought a bottle of water. I have never noticed anything like what you're describing ... yuck.

I live in Venezuela

You cant drink directly from the tap
A litre of gasoline is cheaper than a litre of bottled water
The service is just poor

But never heard of lime-scale or whatsoever

I would move regardless

I live in London, which is naturally a hard water area. I hardly ever drink from the tap, as it is not very pleasant. I used to drink purely bottled mineral water, but this obviously bad for many reasons and makes me feel very guilty. I've now come into possession of a filtered jug, and I fill that with tap water and drink from that. Tastes fine.

I can't say I've ever experienced toilet paper in my tap water. Though you do get those bits of white crap that come out of ice cubes made from them.

I live in Caketown, which is naturally- oh sod it.

Water's generally fine here, law dictates very high standards, though that doesn't include regulations for the amount of chalk contained, but yah, generally fine.

In general it's okay I guess, though when I was in my other dorm the drinking fountain water was often yellow with small bits of debris in it. I'm hoping this one isn't that bad, but if it is I'll just get one of those pitcher water filters.
