No mention of the L4D2 controversy, other than pointing out its the same as L4D.

Not entirely, but mostly, yeah.

I meant that Yahtzee mentioned it as a complaint, he didn't sya anything about the player backlash and the boycott and all.

All that boycott business is done with. Whoever bought it has it and whoever decided to do something as frivolous as boycotting a game didn't get it.

Maybe because no one gives a shit. I mean, these people honestly think that if all (both) of them decide to ACTIVELY not buy a game then its developers will see the errors of their ways and repent?

There was a debate like that? They should fire their PR assistants then, because it didn't even get through to me until now.

Well, I heard that it was mostly out of spite, more than any activism. And that staggering numbers of people had been pissed off enough to not want to buy it.

The Steam group for the boycott has over 30,000 members. Looking at the first page of member list, it seems that 7 out of 50 people in the group were playing Left 4 Dead 2 at the very moment I was looking at the list. Some spite there.

Aww, that was a heartwarming read. A community build on splendor and romance, acknowledging their liege lord's thirst for a thriving economy and still standing up to voice their opinion and threatening abstinence in such civilized manner. I love it, it just adds those tiny little sparkles of drama over that dusty cake on life's windowsill. Sort of like when they made that time-warp to reach out and pull the excitement of better times into today's market, as they re-introduced Coca Cola Classic. And the irony only added to the experience!

Ach, those were the days, these are the times, children...

And now get offa me lawn, turn of yer 'puters and get married fur gahd's sakes! Shee~ush.

I'm not going to buy Left 4 Dead 2, because I don't see the point in paying an extra £20 for melee weapons when Valve already put the original game on sale for me a few weeks ago. Call that a boycott if you will.

In fact the very idea of 'boycotting' it is ridiculous - as though everyone is obligated to buy everything Valve makes.

I heard that Turtle Rock, one of valves subsidiaries, made the first one, and the main branch in Washington made the second.
I finally got my website up. Im pretty stoaked right about now.
