no bacon takes 6 to 7 minutes off of your life.

if you eat enough bacon and smoke cigarettes fast enough, then you travel back in time........to the 1830's.

Totally agree. One certainly should never simply accept, just because an unnamed place of learning in some random country is cited to have completed research, it is absolute fact. But that is also part of the fun in perpetuating such pieces of information. It's all fun really wink.gif

OFFICE PRANK HAS AN "EARIE" RING

POUGHKEEPSIE DAILY TRIBUNE
9th October 2003

A common office prank, previously considered "harmless" backfired at the offices of Trend, Daily and Hope on Friday.

In the prank, well known in offices across the country, staff members walk up behind unsuspecting colleagues and touch their ear with their finger after generating a static charge due to the widespread use of nylon carpets in many businesses.

On Friday, the trick backfired on David Geffen resulting in a burst eardrum to workmate Troy Simpson.

"I heard a loud crack and waited for the laughter, but he just keeled over in pain"

Unfortunately, due to the large amount of static electricity discharged, David had inadvertently burst the eardrum of his workmate.

Barry Wohm, manager of Trend, Daily and Hope said that it was an "Unfortunate incident" and that they are considering replacing the nylon carpet with timber or linoleum.

Troy Simpson is recovering and has been advised by an audiologist that he may suffer from long term damage to his right ear. He was unavailable for comment, as he is considering legal advice.

It is isn't it. But I'm always entertained by the amount of people that will blindly believe these things. Kind of like the Bill Gates will track this email and give you $1000 for every person that receives and sends it on or the Nigerian 410 scams.

A dog's mouth is cleaner than a toilet bowl.

Biting your fingernails without washing your hands beforehand is equivalant to licking a dirty toilet seat.
