Quote

Actor David Prowse, who played Darth Vader in "Star Wars," was interrupted by police officers during the filming of his new action thriller. According to Metro, the officers responded to a report that a porn film was being shot, but ended up walking into a scene that included dramatic dialogue and a bunch of fully-clothed actors.

Apparently neighbors jumped to the wrong conclusion after seeing a camera and lighting equipment being taken into the bungalow home that was being used as a set.

One film crew member said: "It was hilarious to see a bunch of policemen enter the bungalow expecting to see a porn film carrying on. When the officers saw two dressed actors talking, they looked quite disappointed. The curtain twitchers certainly have a vivid imagination."

The movie is called "The Kindness of Strangers" and will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next year.

It doesn't have to be illegal for the police to be interested. They're only human.

This sounds like bogus publicity stunting. Unless this thing was made on a shoestring budget (and by that I mean student film), there would be trucks all up the street (meaning it would not look like porn) and the entire neighbourhood would have been sent letters telling them that a movie was being made. And sure, cops can go wherever they like, but would they really burst onto set during a roll when there would be loads of crew members standing around outside willing to tell them what was going on?

I call shennanigans.

When was the last time when we were able to see David Prowse in a hollywood blockbuster movie?!

Hm, Darth Vader as the star in a porn movie would be a good publicity I guess. <_<

Terrible

Since when does a camera and lighting equipment
being taken into the bungalow home
constitute as an porn movie?

What kind of neighbourhood do these people live in
if PORN is the first conclusion?

Also,if the production team had a permit
there is really nothing the lawmen could do
but sit back and enjoy

This reminds me of my girlfriend and I sitting in a stair well and cops coming in on us because of reports of "lewd and lascivious behavior, and sexual misconduct in a public place." The cop actually had a flashlight out and shining it on us and we sat there looking at him. He had a grin on his face like he was bustin' in on some action. To his dissapointment we just finished lunch and were talking about football. We were fully clothed and our hair wasn't even messed up.

So if they were making a porno, which is legal, what would the police have done? If it was in private, then how was it their neighbor's business to begin with?

Well I guess then they would make sure the shades were drawn so it wasn't something public,
and check IDs to make sure everyone was legal.

I don't know the UK laws, but there might be a question if they were "operating a brothel" in a residential area without a license or something.

Just speculating here of course.
