Plus, of course, cats are generally more delightfully delightful to stroke. Close thing though, I have found quite a few nice dogs to stroke...

I've posted this link here before, but I think it deserves a mention in this thread. Cat lovers will see the humour in it, and dog lovers- well I wouldn't know what a dog lover would think.
my cat hates you
Myself, I a cat person. Most dogs I've met are the messy, slobbery, stupid kind- but there have been a few golden ones mixed in there.
It is absoultely true that a cat's demeanor depends on its family. Our two cats are part of the family- not just pets, and it shows by how friendly and loving they are, even to strangers.
