Interesting level of hatred in this one...he doesn't really seem to be trying, but that might be because he's mostly pointing out the same problems in this that he's claimed to be game ruining in many, many other things before.

I completely refute that "without physical feedback motion controls are unimmersive". It's a simulation. All you have to do is, when you see someone on the screen parry your sword, stop fucking swinging it. It's hand-eye co-ordination just like every other fucking game.

Indeed, to say that motion controllers, for whatever reason, are unimmersive is certainly obtuse. They are a damn sight more immersive than what you were using before.

I think the main thing is that the current Wii motion controls simply aren't easy enough to handle yet. You can't exactly predict that the game will interpret it the same way as you do when you hold it this way and swing it along that way. There's still some cognitive dissonance in there. It's like playing with an SNES controller with a signal delay of a few milliseconds. Most won't be able to pinpoint what's wrong, but almost all will know that something's off.

Pop quiz, hotshot. Garry Kasparov is coming to kill you, and the only way to change his mind is for you to beat him at chess. What do you do, what do you do?

I'd agree with that...if you can have immersive games with keyboards, you can with a Wii, presumably.

Mind you, the "wave you arms like a fucktard" bit is a bit off a turn off...you don't feel ashamed of yourself operating a keyboard.
