huh.gif Okay, has anyone heard anything about this game, yet? There are a few rumours cirrculating on the net, but I am not sure that anything official has been said, thus far. dry.gif I hope they release it soon! Although I am not expecting it to be as great as Chrono Trigger, simply because Chrono Cross was such a flop!

Oppinions please!

I never really cared much for 'Crono Cross'. That wacky hit percentage really annoyed me. I don't like these new games that are almost impossible to conquer unless you read the Stratagy guide word for word (If you pick this character, you can't have this other characterlater. but then you can't obtain this very valuable armor if you pick character choice #2. blink.gif ) I think I'll stick to Crono Trigger. smile.gif

Hmmm, did Chronocross have anything at all to do with Chronotrigger?

I think it was a sequel, but it might have been a prequel. They are related in some way. But for a game where you go back into the past already to have a prequel seems silly. Could be a Chrono and Marle descendant.

Yeah, I'd say stick to Chrono Trigger. Magus, you were just too damned cool for words...

I'm guessing CC is a sequel to CT, because there's a teaser for a sequel in the PSX version.

Is that enough abbreviations for everyone?

Just got a copy of Chrono Cross, and it's great. I actually like the combat system and hit%. Works quite well, once you adjust to it. This game, combining with terrible work conditions, maths tests, and car shopping, have lead to my recent absence.

Well, actually, yes, Chrono Cross is a sequel to Chrono Trigger. However, it was designed by a completely different team and the connection is a little strained throughout that storyline. Basically, it follows along from the whole unresolved story about Janus and Schala, which I thought deserved to be explained. It also introduces Lavos's fall back plan, to conquer the world. dry.gif  blink.gif yell.gif smile.gif huh.gif ohmy.gif wink.gif biggrin.gif

Oh yeah. I really like your avatar of Glen, Sime. However, I am curious as to why you had him before you played Chrono Cross. laugh.gif dry.gif biggrin.gif

I started playing Chrono Cross about 6 months ago, but the disk was scratched and I couldn't get far. About 2 months ago I got another copy from elsewhere, and so was able to play it. I had been playing for a long time before I put the Glenn avatar up.

NEWS Update!!! happy.gif

For a number of months, Squaresoft had the copy rights to the title Chrono Break in America and Chrono Brake in Japan. Recently, they have relinquished their rights to the name Chrono Break here in America. They have also said that there are no current plans for the fourth installment of the Chrono series, which is truly and honestly a crying shame.

Woah, hey! Where have you been?

I'm floppydisk, glad to finally meet you instead of reading your posts.

I've umm... never played any of the Chrono games...

That's something you should remedy fast, Floppy Disk.

And Gleffnork, thanks for the heads up. So is that saying that there isn't going to be a third game, because you mentioned fourth in your post.
