But...Why an iPod? It seems like a lot of money, to me, for what amounts to a disposable device. sad.gif

iPods are incredibly versatile. They can be used as a data storage device, MP3 player, or even an emergency boot drive.
How are they disposable? You don't just use them a few times and then throw them away.

ipods are still pricey though. if you want something worth the money take a look at the Creative nomad muvo2. It has an internal 4GB microdrive and they sell the muvo for a cheaper price than you can get just the microdrive for by itself. I guess they just want marketshare from apple. I mean there are people buying these just to get the microdrive at that price and then selling the muvo on ebay without the drive like here.

Unless they've changed the battery issue, I'd still consider it disposable.

laugh.gif laugh.gif Good point.
Though I think since all the negative press they've received about that they have made replacement batteries and lowered the cost. But it is still a rip off. Another reason for the Muvo2 instead...

I get the feeling that you truly despise Muvo2s, yes?

How? He's reccommending them over the iPod.

I like the Muvo system, and I also like the hard-drive based MP3 player that Dell has produced. Apparently it's a great unit as well.

It was sarcasm since he plugged Muvo2 twice now and linked to them and everything.

ok you guys figured me out. I do get paid to shamelessly plug their products on forums with less than 50 views a day. dry.gif

Actually my only point was to show that they are selling an entire 4GB mp3 player at a cheaper price than one could buy JUST the 4GB drive for inside of it. That's a pretty significant thing for the industry, they are low balling to get market share. I spoke nothing as to the quality or features of the player cause I don't rate or review things I haven't tried myself.

Chef: I'd suggest a Nikon Coolpix.

Hecc: Keep your scans dude. draw from those or clean them up. Nothing beats the essence of the original. (I've wasted enough time on "improvement" to know.)

Me? I want a 70mph Vespa.
