I'm shocked and appalled that you still haven't gotten behind the gist of my style.

I've read some where that there is a major bug in the last level that occurs only on high end computers.

Oh Jesus Christ, yes. It can be doctored however, by reducing the resolution to 800x600 and toning down the monitor refresh frequency to 65 Hz I think (no idea why this is supposed to help, but I was desperate enough to try it and it did help). You might want to try it when you're running away from a place that is very dangerous to linger around and you can't figure out why you keep dying all the time despite your best efforts.

Guns feel natural, huh? You'll be surprised once you get the Cthulhu-ian equivalent of the BFG 9000.

Oh, and I've found that binding the use key to the T button and reconfiguring the rest to standard FPS controls helps a lot. Still, it's maddening when you die for the umpteenth time because instead of bolting the fucking door your character opens it wide. It's just one of them "live with it"-moments.

I took the opportunity to buy myself the last remaining copy of Lovecraft's collection of short stories when passing by WHSmith (the weird nerd that I am). Pretty cheap. I just wonder why they call this book the 'Nacronomicon'? It isn't THE Nacronomicon, is it?

Some helpful hints here.

Oh, common' a "Cthulhu" game. Or is it Cthulu?

I usually bind it to 'V'. The control scheme turned out to be more confusng than F.E.A.R.'s
I lol'd at the 'opens wide open' comment, by the way.

I say from now on, we spell it "Fluffy".

Nah, Cthulhu has a bunch of different ways to spell/pronounce his name. It's all on wikipedia. And for the love of god, don't start an argument on the reliability of wikipedia.

yep. Lovecraft describes him as having the body of a man, head of a cephalapod and the wings of a dragon and being a few miles tall iirc.
