They do seem a bit full of themselves. I wonder how much money they've made so far though. Plus the feedback they get.

Anyway, there's no need to justify anyone's pretentious fucktardedness. Are they dicks? Yes, they are. Also, they're butthurt over the fact people are no longer buying their game. End of story.

I think you're missing the bigger issues. It's okay, you're not the only one.

Here they are.

1) The Path, as a game, sucks. I know they wanted to focus on the art and all, but if they're using games as their medium it needs to be entertaining whilst being interactive. I don't want to hear arguments about how adding fun would have ruined their artistic vision. Braid was a fantastic little artsy-fartsy game and it was entertaining being able to manipulate time in various ways.

2) The developers of this game treat the whole thing like it's the second coming of Christ, Buddha, J. Smith, Allah and Satan all at once. We're lucky to be able to play their stunning work of art that is certainly nothing like we've ever experienced before nor will we experience henceforth. In reality, the game is a collectathon/find the encounter where you are ambiguously "ravaged" and then you press the forward arrow key until you die 10 minutes later. Not exactly revolutionary and their pretentiousness (making unjustified claims), to quote Yahtzee, seems scientifically designed to get on my tits.

3) They have a fucking manifesto. If you don't get why this is ridiculous and insane, we need to stop talking about this right now because we're not on even footing, if you get what I mean.

Yeah, I get you, finally.

And yes, I know that people above their 40s can appear as crazy and egotistical (another reason why Duke Nukem is not out yet), but atleast they're not Tim Buckley or John Romero.

So yeah, I'm glad that we all agree that the game is not 'great', but I still would like to keep it in my steam games for (untill summer)(yes, I'm an FPS whore).

I recently saw an 'I wanna be that guy' video so I'm thinking about downloading it. Judging by the boss fights (especially the one with 'the chosen one'), I'm guessing it's going to be extremely hard.

Any advise?

And no, I didn't pay £3.5 to watch an old lady die. I watched it for free on jewtube.

Sit down and study, exercise, then study again, socialize, then do some more studying.

Yeah. There's a mini-version available for download, I know it has at least one boss in it. If you can beat one boss, you can beat the whole game with enough patience. Download the smaller version and if you decide you want to beat the whole thing, your save game will work in the full version so you don't need to redo all that hard work.

If you get to a point and you feel stuck, walk away and relax for a while. Don't do what I did, calmer heads prevail in this game.

And don't listen to David. He's right most of the time, but not all the time. Kind of like me.

I'll give it a try. If I end up tearing off my pubic hair, I'll give it a rest. But I'm looking for a challenge and I haven't played any games in a while.

No hard feelings. I understand. My ego got the best of me.

I'll never play this, I just don't have the patience for these games.

but watching someone play this is fun.

It's actually quite fun. I recently played it again and it's somewhat tolerable on medium (if you can stand the beautiful pink bow.) Like the "ninja dog" mode on Ninja Gaiden, it makes it easier on you while simultaneously ridiculing you a bit. I never finished NG either. Go figure.

Steam's been trying to shove this into my face recently.

So much hype. Not sure if this is worth my money.
