Also, 3 pages in through that Penny-Arcade thread and it seems all the users are dicks. They see a game trying something new and original that focuses more on the journey then the ending and tear it apart because they don't want to pay money just to die at the end.

Ugh, the best example being the guy who posts at the end of page three. I won't post it all.

Actually, you know what, it just seems like these people only care about gameplay. They're literally complaining because there's no puzzles, combat etc.
As one person puts the creators ideas;

They say, "Fuck puzzles.. fuck dialogue.. fuck combat.. fuck text... fuck everything that's interesting or proven and fun. It's about intimacy."

So according to him a game is not about how close you are to the story/characters. In that line he's basically criticized the creators for trying to achieve immersion over everything else. AND HE'S AGREED WITH.

Well I dunno, downloaded the game last night, tried it, didn't spark my interest, didn't have fun. I guess it can work for some but I understand why many people don't like it. It's one of them "one-of-a-kind, but thank Christ it's a one-of-its-kind" type of games.

The path seems to be one of those games that really shouldn't be spoiled over the internet.
Knowing what's ahead defeats what little purpose the game has. I was spoiled hard, so I doubt I'll ever play this one.

It's a horror game. The primary concern of a horror game should be to scare you. And these guys are at least trying to be original. But then, a lot of the criticism targets that talking about how pretentious they are and how they have big egos. They could at least wait for the comic creators to shoot it down like we do with Yahtzee.
