yeah, "thank's" Civ, that was a "great" use of your mod abilities.

Wow. quotation marks used like that make things look so sarcastic.

QUOTE (Spoon Poetic @ Jan 28 2009, 01:48 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'm with Jm - first thing I thought of was David Bowie. ...Go figure, right? tongue.gif

I find it hilarious that you actually took the time to take a picture of the tow notice, Chefelf! biggrin.gif

I can just hear Nate now... "What? They towed my car? I am so taking my digital camera to post a picture of this on my on my blog! angry.gif"

Edit: Civ, LoM is still awesome. We'll just have to agree to disagree on your sense of taste. tongue.gif

Edit 2: My, this post has a lot of emoticons. I'm also tempted to edit this again and say "This is turning into a post by TheOrator!" but I won't.

The one thing I have yet to be towed for in NY is filming. I came dangerously close when the upcoming sequel to My Big Fat Greek Wedding (called "I Hate Valentine's Day" apparently) was blocking off streets for hours at a time. I was under the impression that I would have to pay to get the car back, though. Do you know if you get basically free towing for all movies? Or just some?

That said: look out for "pedestrian ramps". They're like driveways except 18" long. No sign. They're like landmines for parking.

This is what you get for having fancy new car instead of an awesome 70s car.

I hope you learned your lesson.

My car is not that fancy and new. A few years' difference and they may have left my car there.

Well the show is now officially canceled
so you won't have to be worrying about your car
getting towed . . . at least not by cop dramas set in the 70's

I let my emotions get the best of me by jumping in the car, happy to see that it actually existed, and forgot that I'd just need to put it somehwere else anyway. rolleyes.gif

I just finished watching Life on Mars (the US version)... given how they ended it, no it wasn't worth moving your car.

I'm really pissed about that, I was really getting into it too.
