Ah, here we go. All the South Africans become incensed and come out of the woodwork to defend themselves from an imaginary onslaught.

Pffff, I'm hardly "all the South Africans". And I wasn't incensed, I just feel that if one is going to make fun of a countries accent then one should do the accent right. I'm fine with people making fun of my country and accent etc, I do it myself, but if your gonna do it then do it right. That's Comedy 101.

Also, I think it's fair that if people are talking about or making fun of another country someone who actually knows something about the country should also be allowed to participate in the discussion without someone saying something along the lines of what you just did.

And thirdly, I wasn't defending our accent, I was simply educating some people as to why it sounds so strange and is so difficult to replicate.

If I came across as defensive I didn't mean to and I apologise.

But anyhoo, Yahtzee's review was spot on I must say.

Welcome to your inauguration. We're all bastards here.

Or, as Gene Hunt would say... "Bastids"

Yahtzee was clearly trying to make fun of it but, like Leonardo di Caprio in "Blood Diamond", he fell short of his intended target and just ended up sounding like a fool. But like Blood Diamond it was still enjoyable to watch.

You may have a point there bru.

So this baby, while still inside its mother, murdered his twin brother and STOLE HIS PENIS.

That is one badass baby.

Filth and lies!

I'm just keen on my country and all that.

If I was American I would've threatened everyone on this forum with death and oil theft by now and then proceeded to denounce you as morally corrupt terrorist, who eat babies, for fighting back!

Hmmm no-one's done it yet, maybe I should link the new video...

So do they have bad South African accents in the game? I watched my mate play it for a bit the other day and they all seemed American.

No, that's the thing. the accents are incredibly good. It's the first game I've ever played where the SA accents are realistic (Thanks to the dev team for using real SA voice actors).

It's not just SA accents flying around in it though, there are quite a few others, such as America, Australian, African etc.

If they ever make 'The Gods Must be Crazy: The Game', that would be one. Even if the accents are done by south africans.
I pooped a hammer. I pooped a cornish game hen.

I knew some South Africans back in high skool while living in Dubai. Nice and quiet people. Lots of ginger. I couldn't recall hearing something like that.
That sounded more like;
Australian x South African x haha, look at me, I'm a pure white birtfag = what he just said

Aw, hell. Its his macrocosmic view and I don't care.

Yes, its a pretty realistic game and it would probably have a strong mapping/mod community.
