I've heard the accounts of some our members who have visited other Star Wars forums like force.net etcetera. From those accounts, I do not wish to venture anywhere near those sanctuaries of stupidity but even through my own casual internet browsing, I have encountered stupid shit like it. I just came across this one -

too much CGI in today's movies?

Movies like Blade Runner prove that you dont need CGI to produce beautiful visuals. In fact, CGI is often times over used. I think directors should use less CGI and more scale models and actors in makeup. Thats part of the reason movies like blade runner and the original Star Wars still have such an appeal to so many. I like how Hellboy decided to use an actors in makeup instead of CGI animations. All you need to do is look at Episode I and II and likely III of Star Wars to see how CGI is overused. So come on everyone, do you agree?

another dumbass post by a person who is against CGI. Nothing is wrong with CGI, shut the *beep* up and quit bitching because the future of 99% of action movies will have a lot of CGI!
Did swfan4life_2005 9 hours ago suffer some kind of head trauma when he was a child or was he just born as a complete butthead with an empty skull?
Really - can we tolerate people like this sharing our oxygen?
Anyway, so my question is what should we do about all these idiots on the internet? Should we go over to force.net and those places and try to beat some sense into them or should we call up a pest exterminator?

It is a group of people who do not want their childhood illusions shattered. I was like them once, thought movies began and ended with the original trilogy. Lucas was a genius. Could not wait for the prequels.
EP1 and 2 come out and was greatly dissappointed. Lucas proving that his creativity ended around 1982. I accept this as do most of the others on this board, the other Star Wars hard core fans do not. To them, it is like there is still a Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, the gov't is after our best interets, etc. While others acknowledge reality, they refuse to. Lucas is a god, Ep 1 and 2 were just as good. Everyone else is wrong.
If enough people call you a horse, you better go out a buy a saddle.
