I'm going to preface this by saying that I'm a sick fuck and my taste in movies has been permanently warped by unspeakable blasphemies like Robot Holocaust or The Galaxy Invader. That said...

Zombie Strippers was a good movie. It wasn't the epic that defined a generation, alright, but it was at least an A-. Me Chris and Blake picked this thing up at the movie starz and it looked like it would be horrendous. Turns out it was nothing like we expected. It was not porn posing as horror. It was not a serious horror film with tits. It was a horror film with lots of tits and bush that didnt take itself seriously and had a damn good time of it.

There were philosophical undercurrents throughout the whole movie, and not just a shallow veneer either, I mean it was clear that at least one of these writers had read their shit. For instance, one of the strippers is reading Nietzche in one scene, but instead of just reading Zarathrustra, she's reading his collected works. I haven't even got Nietzche's collected works.

So, yeah. Also, there's some great lines throughout the film. The special effects are quite decent for a low budget picture, and the jokes are all very well written. So, God help me, my A minus stands.

Now, Space Buddies on the other hand..... Me and Civ were joking about them making it, and damned if I didnt just see a preview for it on my Prince Caspian DVD. That movie by the way was ass.

Galaxy Invader is a classic.

I remember downloading that film, under the presumption that any film combining zombies and strippers could not fail to be awesome. On reflection, I should have listened to the ex on that one. Just no.
