It seems like Yahtzee is getting more commonly known right about now. Has anyone noticed that everyone just says the same old stuff about him? He sorta seems overrated now.

All I'll say is that it's a shame that Fully Ramblomatic is quickly being forgotten by those 'not in the know'...

I still don't have a working comma key.

If yahtzee actually bothered to post on his own forums, they might see a surge in popularity. No-one sees the point in coming to a specific person's forum and never talking with that person.

And seeing as the only updates Yahtzee puts on the site itself are links to his ZP posts and little tidbits of news...

I couldn't give a monkey's if Yahtzee posts here or not. Wouldn't it be make more sense to email someone if you wanted to talk to them?

Anyway I doubt he could have become popular any other way and not become subject to accusations of being 'overrated', or selling out, or similar insultes de célébrité.

I think what you meant to say was that you'd first opt for a method of communication that is most likely going to successfully convey your message to the subject in question.

Why you went on to mention e-mailing him escapes me, however. wacko.gif

Have it your way: wouldn't it make more sense to track someone down and shout at them in the street if you wanted to talk to them?

You're just shy by nature, aren't you?

That would actually drive people away.

Here is a humorless and sexist joke:
Stephanie's is not wet for thinking about Yahtzee.

I think he deserves the popularity. I love his reviews and Game Damage seems promising. He's an intelligent guy, I don't think he "sold out" or is "overrated" - he's simply working for money now, and the quality of his reviews is pretty consistent.

Yahtzee eats fanboys like you for breakfast, you know. It feeds his ego and shuts them up at the same time.

Well, it's a pretty good indicator. So is saying that someone deserves all the attention they're getting, because in the case where that attention is coming from rabid fanboys, it's kind of like saying that they deserve rabid fanboys.
