Personally, my top choice would be David Tennant. And not just because I'm a major Doctor Who fan. I think the Riddler without a touch of hyperactivity just wouldn't be The Riddler. At the same time, the guy has proven he can go from excited to thoughtful in mere seconds.

I thought Depp was considered as Riddler back when Burton was planning the third Batman movie, but it didn't happen since Burton was replaced by Schumacher.

Didn't know his name had been considered for Nolans project.

Hmmm I heard a rumour that Nolan had no
immediate plans for a 3 Batman

And (yet another rumour)
Bale and Depp do not get along or
at least they barely shared word during
the filming of Public Enemies

So if Depp were to be the Riddler it may get interesting
I don't know he could bring some of that creepy
mad hatter-ness to Mr. Nigma or ruin everything

Also . . . I hate to be ageist but Rickman may be
too old for the Riddler, if it isn't done right

As for THE BATMAN series,
Vesuvius I do believe that at times
the show was bearable

but i could be blinded by my love of Bats
much like i am blinded by my love of Star Wars

and it holds everything together

Ah yes, Rickman, along with the others that I listed are up in years. That's why I lean toward Jason Isaacs personally. He has some of the Rickman sternness along with a style on his own.

The only thing I caught on The Batman that was interesting was Bane. I think they did a horrible job on Mr. Freeze, especially for man that is to be dead to emotion.

Yes, love of SW. It distorts us all and what we'll tolerate.

Hmmmm Jason Isaacs may do
he's not too young and not too old
and his connection to Rickman through
Harry Potter doesn't even bother me at all

I STILL havent't seen any Batman episodes with bane!!!!!!

But i have seen some Mr. Freeze episodes and i did notice
how he lacked a mouth while he was all iced out
I hope that wasn't laziness on the cartoonist part
but i suppose we shall never know
