Gotta say I agree. Mat and Yug have never been my cup of tea, personally I thought they were "token Australians" from the start. Really who gives a shit if Crowshaw is British? If his is the only talent in the show then loose the dead weight I say.

Yahtzee is ripping off Charlie Brooker so badly that Charlie might actually drag him back to UK and force him to take the role of one of his 'witty' zombies (seriously, Yahtzee. You DO look like a zombie. Actually more like something from The Ring).

If you gaymers like a little bit of prefosionalism in the videogame world, then you might want Yahtzee. Personally, I don't give a [something] what they do with the show because its theirs. But, they may want to sacrafice Matt and Yug in favor of Yahtzee having a "bright future".
Though, in person, Yahtzee's face is like an animating brick struggling to move its muscles mainly because he's "thick" and his voice may sound like a hourse with pencils in his nose, but at least he's smart.

Anyway, here is the episode, if you're cheap like me:

I sincerely hope Yahtzee is embarrassed.

I mean, at this point doesn't he make enough money so that he could seclude himself in a cave and make point and click games or something and not worry about prostituting himself?

They deleted a few page of comment apparently earlier on, though the harsh critisism is still visible on the new comments in that YT video.

A lot if the critisism comes from people complaining about the furniture (which may not take effect) or more importantly about Yug and Matt's appearance along side Yahtzee.
When Channers and anon say that Y&M should just be Yahtzee's friend's (actually they're much more harsher). I've heard Hitmen in australia are pretty notorious...oh, wait. Forget what I said.

It just looked to me like Yahtzee was really uncomfortable up there, probably because he wanted to strangle those two unbearable idiots next him. I can't think of any reason why he wouldn't. He's really brought down by their unfunniness and lack of repartee and to be honest live video just doesn't convey his sense of humor. He's great on his own (especially when you can't see him), but his condescending sense of humor doesn't have the same impact when he's giggling with his awkward, neckless pals in his fucking trilby. I guess I don't hope he's embarrassed, I just think he should be.

Myeh, whatever. It's not as funny as ZP, but I chuckled a few times. I see some potential, for sure. There's no reason to criticize it so harshly; it's a medium that all three of them are unfamiliar with. If Game Damage had been going for years and this was the result, then I could point fingers and name names.

Until then, come up with something better or get off your soapbox.

Really it's not saying much, but to be quite frank Game Damage is the best gaming TV show I've ever seen. It still needs work to be totally watchable, but the three guys complement each other quite well; Matt the nerd, Yug the straight man, and Yahtzee the long-suffering cynic (or 'straighter man' if you will). If you think Yahtzee could present this show on his own you need to think again. It wouldn't work. You need some earnest enthusiasm and Yug does that particularly well.

Oh, hi. Ives here, first time poster, long time reader.

I'm pretty sure Yahtzee does not want to live in a cave making adventure games, nor did he make enough money to do so. And being the smart bastard we all know he is, he wants to evolve past ZP reviews as well. So Game Damage is an attempt to break onto TV stage, much like the first ZP style reviews were an attempt to get a spot on the internets. Even though Matt and Yug are naturally predisposed to be hated undeservingly, just because they're interpreted as two foreign bodies next to Yahtzee, I say we should give Game Damage a chance. For one person with no previous television experience and two people with no media experience whatsoever, they've done a pretty good job. Besides, even Yahtzee cannot do a half an hour TV show all by himself.

In any case, if the guys succeed and strike a deal with some cable network (if they didn't already), the world will get to see more Yahtzee. And the world needs more of his special brand of misanthropy. So let's hope he does for video game industry the same thing Charlie Brooker does for television.

More importantly, what does party mix have to do with video games?

To be honest, gaming shows consist of obscene dead men accompanied by the 'streight' kid attempting to appear like an MTV host, cretainly not knowing who his target audience and if the producers, if thats what you like to call them, want to put in some eye candy, fit in an air headed blond.

So far, the only thing that is giving the show an edge and makes it appear different is Yahtzee. The trio should figure out themselves wether they want to continue as a threesme and remain BFF or would they try and be edgy and let Yahtzee take the lead. Its not like Yahtzee is original or anything, its just that he ripps off a decent tv person and in the world of gaming people, that makes you talented and pretty cool.

Yahtezz is a pretty cool guy, he rips off Charlie Brooker and doesn't afraid of anything

While you are right I think its fair to say that Charlie Brooker didn't invent grittiness and extreme cynicism. Everyone is ripping off the guy that came before him, welcome to the world of modern media.
