Since I'm not updating at a regular frequency anymore, I decided to post an update thread where I can inform you of new articles/comics.
There's a new article up for today, and there were three new ROBOTS comics posted on Thursday, in case you were unaware.

Since I like coding, and I was getting to dislike the layout the way it was, I made a bit of a modification to the site's navigation. You'll notice that the image links to major features are now located to the side of the article text. I have also relocated the Jinx button, and the tracking image there, because it was stupid to have them up next to the main logo. Oh, and I took down the BuzzComix link. Why? Because none of you vote, and the comic is ending anyway. I will, eventually, be moving the entire navigational menu to the side of the screen, and doing away with the big, gaudy images. I might have it done this weekend, I might not. We'll see.

Uhm... I DID vote, and apparently, so did others since you were in the early 300's - late 200's. You just don't have traffic in the thousands, just the hundreds. That's why you didn't make it to the top numbers.

Just my two cents. You have said that "I didn't get enough votes" line for a while. Just a heads up?

Well, if people were voting, then it's a little strange that my rank remained at the 307 mark for three days straight. Keep in mind that when you're lower than 300, one vote can change your ranking by several places at a time. I had less than 30 votes when I removed the button, and I voted daily. The account was active for almost three weeks. Something about that doesn't add up.

New article up. Sorry I haven't gotten my Revolutions review finished yet. It's remarkably difficult to finish.

I did some tweaking to the site's design just now. I made the menu vertical so that it's low-resolution friendly, and got rid of those clunky feature buttons, which are now on the right hand side of the screen. The changes have only been made to the main page. Let me know what you think. I'll be converting the rest of the site once I get some feedback. I would like to change the colour behind the main article text on the front page, but I don't know which colour to use. Any suggestions?

You could try a darker colour red, like Ogrish's colours, but then the buttons on the left would look strange, and then the whole colour scheme will be red rather than black.

You could also try a very dark grey... I'm not too sure, myself. sad.gif

Actually, I've put the dark red on and it looks pretty decent in my opinion. Thanks for the suggestion, Jenn!

The grey looked alright as well, but it just looked too drab and bleary.

Anywho, I went through and changed the entire site to the new layout, and I played with the Links page's layout as well. It's now laid out similarly to the Archive.

There's a problem with the Pay Pal linkage. I guess clicking on it takes you to the Pay Pal site, right? But because your url stays at the top, when I tried to donate, it came up with an error that it couldn't show the next page (probably because of the url for security purposes.)
Please change it, I know you need my five dollars...lol

Just do it by going through http://heccubus.50megs.com instead, if you really want to do so.

Whoops...hang on a sec. I have a free account, you can't accept payments from a credit card on it. I can only accept payments from bank accounts and Paypal balances.

Alright, I added some little linkys to my bestest friends on the whole wide interweb today. There is a Polymorph link coming, I'm just waiting to hear from Lefty on getting a suitable image to use.

New article up regarding my disdain for PETA. I managed to work the Chupacabra and the Smoggies into the same article, so I'm quite happy with it.
