Chef, did you buy the Remastered DVD box set? If so, what did you think of the documentary? I thought it was rather good. I was expecting just a cheap, poorly pasted together display of past SW "on set" footage with some Narrator telling us how ILM is the greatest.
Instead it had interviews with all the big names of SW. Plus a little mini doc on Lucas' early years as a director.

I didn't buy it. Perhaps now is the time to thank the ever-generous civilian_number_two for buying it for me and shipping it from Vancouver! Thanks, buddy!
The special features DVD is quite good. The documentaries are far better than the ones on the Prequel discs. They are loaded with behind the scenes footage and really interesting information. "Empire of Dreams" was really great.

SPOILER
A) He loved SW because it made him a star
He was amazed at how Lucas can bend other peoples will in order to complete his goal
C) He did not want to come back for ROTJ, he wanted Lucas to kill his Character
D) He thinks Lucas can't direct human beings all that well and/or he expects to much from them
-----------------
I'm not sure Lucas ever recovered from the pains he experienced on the set of SW (AHH).
-----------------
Civillian should have bought it from my store. I would have tossed in a free bag of pop corn.

Although this popcorn is intriguing. Pre-popped, or the microwave kind?

I especially like the Nitpick #8. How could I have not noticed that there are nostarlines in prequels! It is such an icon.
I remember, back in the days when Museum of Moving Images in London had not yet been closed due to the lack of funds, I spend almost a whole day starry-eyed and thrilled strolling around. There was a screen showing bits of greatest films in the history. Along with Judy Garland cavorting with Tin Man et al there was the Millenium Falcon jumping to the hyperspace.
How come that GL did not include it in the prequels! The scene made it into a MUSEUM, for heaven's sake. Remark - there wasn't any Boba Fett visible.

Good work!
I think you missed one change. The echo's added during the leia/luke swing across the gap, inside the deathstar. It was actually for the better, so it probably has no place on the list.

I'm only on the second reason and I'm already in hysterics. And I love the rating scales. Great work, Chefelf!

Yeah, it's really such a simple thing that could have been added to the prequels to make them feel a little more closely related to the OT... and they needed all the help they could get.
It was one of those things I noticed but wasn't sure if it was in the original or not. My OT was carelessly left at my parents' before moving to NY, so I had nothing to compare to.
Thanks, Helena. The rating scale was a las minute touch.

That has to be my favourite line, but I have to say that I liked the scales as well.
