Yeah true that. I played the demo and one level in the full game and it kicked ass. Strangling Koreans until their eyes (kind of) popped out is pretty addictive. I reckon the game has a lot of potential but hasn't fully used all of the advantages thrown at it from what I've seen so far. Also, are the environments destructible like BF:BC or red faction? Because I think i recall throwing this dude into a shed and it smashed down.

Yes, buildings and foliage are entirely destructible in Crysis. That means you can be hiding in a shack, and when the Koreans notice you they'll toss a grenade into the building and then you have no cover.

I think the problem lies with people who play Crysis like it's a regular FPS. There's a lot of ways to creatively play the game but everybody just leaves their suit in armor mode and does the run n' gun thing.

If you're into strangulation, I might suggest "Death to Spies", a PC exclusive smersh-inspired stealth game. More or less hitman in ww2, or a cross between hitman and commandos (the former for the interface and actions, the latter for the overlayed map and fields of vision). It's short but nice, and you get to choke a lot of people, from nazi typists to american scientists. It's also typically one of those games where bullet wounds hurt, which I find rather refreshing. And sometimes deserved.

But as always with those sneaking games, what opponents ignore or react to looks somewhat random. It takes 10 levels of trial and error to start getting the feel of what will or won't get the attention of the enemy, and, yes, the game is 10 levels long. Still, it's worth trying out the demo (actually the game's first level). Here for instance. In case.

Part of me is still curious about Force Unleashed, but I've had a hard time convincing myself that I actually want to plunk down the cash for it. Based on what I've heard, it seems to do one thing horribly, horribly wrong for every one thing it does well.

Wait until it's cheaper. I do like owning the game but I should have waited for the price point to drop.
