i watched a documentary on the history of the crash test dummy...

the used to use bodies from the morge wrapped head to toe like a mummy... to test car crash impact... they showed footage of a dead kid in the seat, going through a crash test.

that wasn't the worst thing either...

It sounds horrible...and yet I am compelled to seek this footage out and view it in shocked awe...

What was the worst thing!? Send me a message if its that bad! I'm intruigued... but yes, they did use dead bodies as crash test dummies.

Did you know that in order for a van or car to get a 5-star rating, after the impact of the crash the dummies chest has to be compressed by at least 2 inches? AT LEAST! This is where all your vital organs are... but the seat belt and the air bag help alleviate this pressure. So, no worries. lol

Uhm...

I hate being caught in the rain.

What about those pictures they used to take of dead people? Not photes of them in coffins or at funeral, I mean the ones where they would just prop the corpse up on a chair or something and snap a picture like they were still alive.

Like was pointed out before, they were in the movie "The Others". From memory, they mentioned in the film that they were a way of preserving the spirits of the dead, or sending them on, or some such. I forget the details.

they used to anesthetise pigs (concious and awake, just numb), put them in a harness swing them from a crane into an anvil looking thing to test impact on living tissue.

seeing the pigs chest all fucked up wasn't so bad, it was just the blank look on it's face, cause it had been numbed and couldn't feel the extensive and terminal damage that had been done to it...

plus it was really crule.

i might be evil, but i just love animals....

Animals lack a concept of self. They're just like babies. If theres nothing wrong with killing babies, why should there be something wrong with killing or hurting animals?

We should start a club.

Rory's okay, it's just a matter of noting the presence of sarcasm. I think that may have been sarcasm. If not, Rory should be destroyed. Preferably by swinging him into an anvil with a crane.

Sometimes it's like I lose my ability to detect sarcasm entirely when I get in certain moods. Still, it's fun to act pissed off about something anyway.

Here's an interesting game: try to figure out when I really am pissed off, and when I'm just faking it because I'm feeling twistedly playful.

I enjoy reading your posts no matter which mood you're in, Jane. I don't know if that means much, but...you know. You always seem to have something to say.

Aw, you're making me blush, Heccubus... happy.gif

There's also the fact that I have an obscene amount of free time on my hands, that's why I'm always here.
