So yeah, less than a month to go, and I'm impatient, who's taking part this year?

I had a go in 2006, but it was slap bang in the middle of essay season, I just ended up copying YZs Fog Juice story, and I scrapped it just shy of 5000 words. This year, I can and will do better! I just need a better idea than "a bit like 'Around The World In 80 Days'".

Anyway, I know someone on the FR forums wants to give it a go, and the good Doctors going to try, so who else is down for 50,000 words in November?

POSTSCRIPT: The good Doctors set me off with a brilliant idea. Its basically more along the lines of the ATWI80Ds film with Steve Coogan and Jackie Chan in it, than the Victoian novel. Sweet.

I might go for it. I think I will. If I can get my friend Marrel to do it.

I'm going for it, like a machine. Or something. I will be playing with Horror and I'm not quite ready for it yet, but I'm getting closer and closer by the day. Well I had my first breakthrough in a month today, so I got closer today.

Damn shiggidy.

I've got most of my story sketched out now, its going to be heavily inspired by the works of Tom Sharpe. Who is very funny. Unlike me.

Might be, might not. Depends on how I'm feeling (which probably won't be very creative).

Hm. I'm tempted, but I don't think it's in the cards for me this year. I mean, 2000 words per day? That's, like, 6 or 7 300-word essays right there. Per day.

But you can bullshit it, which is the nice thing. Or just write "literate fiction" which is about nothing. Or sit on the edge of your seat just coming up with things as you go. Reaching the achievement, but then again if it doesn't sound good to you, you shouldn't do it.

And Slade, you better join up, yo!

I think I'll be doing most of my writing on the top floor of the Uni library. Chyld, you remember that view right?

It is a fantastic view, you can see the Humber bridge from up there. Lucky git.

Its started! I'm already blazing a trail of about 805 words, and it isn't even lunch time! Exciting stuff. How's everyone else starting? Those of you in timezones where it isn't 6am.

Fucking shit.

I completely forgot about this and my hangover is raging, so I may be off to a bad start.

Stayed up all night, have guests sleeping over.

Hit about 1776 in the two hours I managed to squeeze out by being a party pooper.

Only on 2500 words at the moment, I would have liked to do that per day. rather than per day and a half, but I'm still more or less on target. Just got to make sure I make time for writing.

Also, if you want to read my story, its being syndicated on my site. When the site works.
