O_O

*hands yahtzee a tranquillizer pill* Calm down!

Seriously, I wonder why Yahtzee is so angry this week. It seems really over the top compared so some videos he's done.

Makes for a bloody funny time though happy.gif

I agree with him about retro gaming, a lot of it is very much rose-tinted glasses nonsense. Exception: Sonic 2.

I'd say there is probably even more shit then than there is now, if only because nobody can afford to make truly terrible games any more.
I still love a lot of my retro games though. Super Metroid, Gunstar Heroes, Sonic 3 and Knuckles.
There will always be some things that stay awesome.

I hereby pledge to agree with you on everything you say from this point in.

Seriously, I fucking love that game. And not in a rosey glasses way either. In a "I still break it out now and again to get my ass handed to me by it" kind of way.

I thought this video is better than most of his recent ones, but that's probably due to absolutely no games coming out for months. It was funny, but it won't stop me from enjoying, say, System Shock 2 or Thief or even Pac-Man.

An indefinite pledge... hmm...

Now just let me sit down here and glance over at Mr. Doom with high expectations for the things to come...

More angry than usual? Doesn't seem like that to me. I liked it, in a what-the-fuck-I-haven't-heard-about-most-of-this-before-but-somehow-it-is-still-funny-kind-of-way.

I can understand liking Sunshine better than 64, but liking TP more than OOT is baffling to me. I mean, I enjoy both games and I know they're really similar, but it seemed to me like TP was way more bland in every aspect. Even the graphics are pretty muddy and devoid of life and personality.

Simple, because we uncovered his plot to destroy the forums.

I personally feel that Twilight Princess is the best of the 3d Zelda games. It certainly kept me occupied longer than OoT and I felt the level and enemy design to be far more enjoyable. Plus I liked the graphics, though I guess it was my first venture into the current generation.

And I didn't enjoy sunshine that much at all. But I've always liked 2d platformers more than 3d ones anyway.

Can't beat Link's Awakening. Simple, fun stuff with moderate depth and portability.

Got that right. Links Awakening and LttP were fantastic.
Link's Awakening had the accessibility and portability, LttP was simply massive although at times insanely hard.

I still would hold up Majora's Mask as my favourite. It was quirky, cool, and the time stuff was sweet.

Holy shit! I thought no one outside my group of friends had even heard of that game! Greens seven form robot remains to this day one of the coolest bosses EVER. Best point of the year was when my buddy got a sega, 2 pads and gunstar heroes for £15, brings back my primary school days.
