So, someone in power finally realized Jack Thompson is a delusional moron and disbarred him.

My thoughts?

Awesome! It's one of those Wizard of Oz moments when all the midgets burst out in song.

Midgets should always randomly burst into song when in large numbers.

Sorry, no, that's offensive and stereotyping.

Yes, in these times of approaching financial hardship and inconvenience it's good to hear that someone we all hate has just lost his job.

The guy that tried to get GTA IV banned... Funny thing is that in America, you could probably see more violence by looking out the window if they figures are to be believed. He did a whole other bunch of stuff, but his disbarred didn't really have anything do with his opinion of games, just the fact that he's universally hated by all.

To top it off, his morals make House look like the perfect role model.

Jack Thompson is probably the reason Silent Hill Homecoming is banned in Australia. He's a bible bashing ignorant fucktard who has spent the last few years staging a one man crusade against people having fun in his gods creation.

So this baby, while still inside its mother, murdered his twin brother and STOLE HIS PENIS.

That is one badass baby.

It's times like these I wish Hitler's corpse was somehow re-animated. Dr. Lecter, do you have any training in Necromancy?

Pidgeons.

Also, I loved how this was reflected on /., what with the RIAA losing in court, the DOJ case and then Jack Thompson being disbarred in only one day. Kleenex must have made some profit.

No way! What brilliance. Maybe people will stop inexplicably including him in discussions about the effects of games now.

A victory for common sense.

Whilst I'm happy this has come about, I'm sad that we got to the state of affairs where he had to be debarred. If common sense was as prevalent as it should be, his "movement" should never have gotten off the ground.

He uses his holy powers for personal gain instead of the good of mankind, just like Criss Angel, they're both dicks.

His disbarment really had nothing to do with his crusade against games. He's a really whacked out guy, with a big mouth. He accused Janet Reno of being gay and he's threatened judges and other lawyers. Go read up on some of his stunts sometimes. It's amazing how much he had gotten away with. This was honestly too long in the making, but it's good that it happened. He's a black mark on the US judicial system.
