What I think is going on here is that we're all contributing to reverse the effects of the "your special" syndrome, where everyone who looks like shit and draws a crappy picture thinks they are the defination of beauty and Michelangelo reincarnate.

And put down the thesaurus. If you really talked like that then you must take 3 years to explain the last Zero Punctuation, half of that time spent removing your own tongue from your oesophagus. I'm sure you know the words and understand them completely but why use them just because they have more than 4 syllables when there's a 2 syllable one that probably fits better anyway?

This is the entire reason that I see fit to feel insulted by the reaction. Apparently I have developed the uncanny ability to just bite my tongue and not insult people who decide to make their appearance known online, regardless of how stupid I think they look. If this is your reaction on here, then surely you don't just act that way because you're veiled behind a cloud of internet anonymity. Surely, then, when you see someone who looks like me, or is dressed the way I dress on the street, you march up to them and begin bitching about their fucking glasses, or the fact that they're unfortunately thin.

I mean, otherwise, you'd be kind of a hypocritical dick, right?

I don't think posting on a forum is comparable to bitching directly to someones face. Maybe more like bitching to everyone around. Which people do.

You're probably right, actually.

Regardless, I think people have taken things a bit heavy-handed here. Looking back it seems people see my reaction as being the written equivalent of sticking my toungue out at them, crossing my arms and turning away with my head held high. My point was more that just because you don't see my choice in clothing as being fashionable or even remotely good, that doesn't make it true. Fashion is entirely subjective and to sit there and flat out insult someone over their choice in clothing for no reason is...well it's fucking stupid. You might not think my clothes are fashionable, but I do, and lots of people around me who I see wearing similar things sure as hell do too. So since this isn't a fucking fashion critique thread, keep your opinions to yourself. If I can do it (which I have struggled to for about 2/3 of it), surely to Christ you can too.

My hair is shorter now. Not short, but shorter. It's some sort of wave ting in a circular design. It's a surfing tee I think. My Gran bought it for me a few years ago.
