I'm hopping on the "I don't want to agree with Heccubus but I'm going to have to anyway" bandwagon. The tattoo is a bad idea and badly executed at best, seriously what kind of inept apprentice did that because it wasn't a proper tattoo artist. Plus because you made it yellow its not coming off, EVER. Not unless you get yourself a new torso.

So this baby, while still inside its mother, murdered his twin brother and STOLE HIS PENIS.

That is one badass baby.

There is always the option of tatooing over it some day. And what can I say - you are a fan, you get yourself a tatoo of your idol, you go to that very idol's own forum, you post your tattoo. And bucketloads of people insult you for it. Where else could somebody hope for any understanding if not here? Internet is a sad thing.

If you define "sad" as "honest".

If you mean by honest that thanks to the anonymous character of the Internet, people can be as rude and nasty as they like without any consequences, like in Kindergarten when the whip woman is taking a wee, then I agree.

Somehow I respect Yahtzee and I would only post here with respect to him because I like his work and think he is a cool guy. And somehow this extends to other fans of him, I don't know why but I catch myself thinking I should be nice to other fans of ZP, because they must be cool guys in a way. That's what I mean.

Generally I try to talk to people on the internet like I talk to them in person. With a bit of respect. Yes I know, ZP is great because of the shit throwing, but an actual tatoo on somebody is something very personal and I wouldn't go to actual people and say "your face is extremely ugly". I couldn't bring myself to do that. But on the Internet, I think some people feel they can do whatever they want.

It is true in a way, but do we have to bring down Yahtzee's forum to that level?

I think we're still allowed to say it was a bad idea and doesn't look good.

Think of this place as a collecting tank for all the looney types that got attracted by the less subtle message of Mr. Y's work. It was bound to become a haven for chaos, which is also the reason for why the man himself has somewhat turned his back on it.

Despite all that, you usually still find some sane people with a more sophisticated grasp for grammar and vocabulary hanging around, so as long as you stick to ye olde rule of survival on the internets (which is plain and simple "Ignore."), you'll be safe and sound with no reason to complain, whilst simultaneously setting a good example.

Kinda makes me want to go back to that sane crowd, they do come off as awfully impressive, what with their shiny elitistic grammar and all.

Ah well.

As you should!

I'd have to question the judgment and taste of anyone who decided to get a tattoo that praises and advertises ANY celebrity, but especially an Internet celebrity who hates his fame and fans.

Slade said it better than I ever could.

In fact, I had about three goes at it, but I just couldn't word it properly.

I didn't mean to be rude to him or anything, I'm not opposed to the idea of getting a Yahtzee tattoo I'm just saying that for something that's going to be on his body for the rest of his life it's quite poorly done. Plus as I said yellow ink cannot be lasered off it breaks down into a poisonous substance. So its poorly drawn and he's stuck with it that's not being mean its a fact.

Don't. You just have to accept the fact that there are people with seriously disturbing ideas of expressing their fanboyism.

It's awesome that people are criticizing others on a forum devoted almost exclusively to unbridled cynicism. But something tells me that if people here REALLY wanted to be cruel they'd have all said "AWESOME TATS D00D NOW GET A TAT OF THE STAR WARZ KID ON THE OTHER SIDE!" Telling him its a dumb idea is far nicer than not telling him. Although I AM glad that people have started listening to my suggestion about marking those from this forum. But this is a bit extreme.

I also think that, despite the general poor reputation the forums here have, general disapproval of being branded with Yahtzee's name is a good sign, that sets this one easily above other fan communities where it might be accepted due to people being, ya know, morons.
