I've just reached the Space stage, and oh my fuck, the game has only just begun, by the looks of it.

5 billion years, and I'm just getting started. Fuck you and your forty plus hours, FFVII.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

It's good. I thought it would be the kind of game that, you probably wouldn't get addicted to playing it constantly over long periods of time. But you could pick up for a few hours, and never really seem like its getting old. I mean, I've already gone from Cell to Space twice, and I imagine I can't imagine how it could get boring anytime soon.

And the shear amount of user content is insane, aswell as the intergration of it into the game. I hope the editor of Gamespot lives to regret allowing Spore to get 8.0 while giving Halo 3 and Crysis 9.5s.

Space is slightly overwhelming at first: There's alot to learn very quickly. It's also very cool knowing that all those wild creatures running round the planet in the civ stage have all been created by other users. I remember reading something about visiting friends planets, but I don't know how you do that yet...

But as I say, I've only played the Space Stage for... ten minutes?

Yeah it is surprisingly short isn't it?

I've had a few problems with mine though. Namely I've not been saving and so I've now gotten to space stage stage each time. But each time, you can play it so dramatically differently, I wasn't really fussed. And the sheer amount of creativity, I mean wo. It's worth it for that. To be honest it does need another 10 hours but it is good. Not come in my pants good. A bit better than my grand mothers lapdancing classes good. But those are DAM good lessons.

Yes, as it seems at the time of the podcast Yahtzee reached stage 4, and I suppose he is playing it to feature it in ZP, so I think Spore's gonna get what he is best at delivering, a flaming thrashing.

I will play it, though. It's an important title, and I try not to miss those.

After you learn the best way to fight the Grox, or anyone else for that matter, the game does become a little easy at the space stage.
