This morning I went to get my usual Irish Creme latte from Starbucks. Then the lady behind the counter told me the worst news ever.

Yes.

Ever.

They are discontinuing Irish Creme flavor.

But, on second thought, I realized the solution is simple. If Starbucks does not want to please its customers (in other words, me), then I will just have to go somewhere else!

Up yours, Starbucks! yell.gif

I'm sure they're hanging themselves over losing a single customer.

If everybody who wasn't happy with a corporate chain's service boycotted, that'd be something!

Also, that one lady wouldn't come into the store where I work to complain about the price of tape.

Tape??? How expensive can tape possibly be? Not so expensive that it would warrant complaining.

Well that is the unfortunate thing about Corporate America, isn't it? If you are a disgruntled customer and you wish to stop giving your business to a company... it doesn't matter. At all.

Well, the product did ring up as $24, but it was a six pack. And it was heavy duty tape. Four bucks a roll of heavy duty postal tape isn't too much to ask, I think.

She ended up buying "medium-weight" tape, at $3/roll, but not before she had spoken to me, two other employees and a manager. Everyone told her the same thing: "We don't set the prices, the lower weight tape is cheaper..." etc.

If you're fortunate enough to live in an area with independent stores, you could try them first, but sadly pretty much everyone has to shop at corporate stores from time to time. That's why it's important to cultivate brand loyalty to the lesser of two evils! For example, I shop at Target, not Wal-Mart.

I hope you are well aware that STARBUCKS coffee beans ranks amongst some of the worst quality beans in the world. They will buy beans from anyone. Whether it be top quality growers, or slave driven camps.

Go find someother coffee house, drink there for awhile then come back to STARBUCKS. You wil find that when going back to Starfucks, the coffee has an acidic after taste that leaves your tongue begging for calcium carbontate.

You probably don't notice this since your coffee is saturated with artifical creme flavours.

Take the test. You will be happy that you did, cause chances are the other coffee house will be about 1/3 the cost of starfuckers.

I don't understand why anyone ever goes to Starbucks. The food is just okay, and it costs so much! On a block in my town there is a Starbucks, an Au Bon Pain, and a Dunkin Donuts, and the Starbucks is always PACKED, even though it costs (at least) 2-3x as much and tastes about the same.

We have Tim Horton's in Canada. Everybody seems to love Tim Horton's. Personally I prefer a can of coffee and a brewer.

What does that mean? Is that in Canadian?

In New England we have Dunkin' Donuts. There's one on every corner of every street here in Rhode Island. It is to New England what Starbucks is most othe rplaces. The only thing is it's not super pretentious and filled with yuppies. Much more blue collar. It's extremely similar to Tim Horton's in that respect.

The thing that makes Tim Horton's and Dunkin' Donuts better is that they are more reasonably priced than Starbucks. About 50% the cost.

It means that I brew my own coffee, rather than going to a coffee shop.

if starbucks fails you, where else will you go? there is no where else...

the only thing i get from them is the mocafrappachinno, and even then very rarely.

i would not trust coffee to a franchise... i like espresso (short black), i don't like milk or sugar in my coffee so it had better be a damn fine cup 'cause there's nothing to hide the taste with....

The thing I've noticed with Starbucks is that I do actually really like the taste of some of their drinks, namely the ones with lots of caramel and sugar and what not. So, when I go there, thats what I get. And its not particularly more than a caramel and sugar like drink that I could get somewhere else, like say, Dunkin Doughnuts. So, I guess if you are comparing a regular cup of coffee, you should generally go for the cheapest thing, and maybe the beans do make a difference, but when it comes to silly, yet delicious novelty drinks, starbucks takes the cake. (or at least shares the cake)
