Minesweeper the movie is awesome. You need to see the previews to understand. Unfortunately for you, I am far too lazy to find the darn thing.
I don't think a Prince of Persia movie would be so bad. Look at the Hitman movie.

It doesn't look that bad, Gylenhaal looks pretty good for the part of the prince, and I suppose if it focuses on fighting and characterization it'll be cool.
And for good movies based on games? Well I for one loved the first Resident Evil movie. The rest were rubbish, but that one I think was my favourite.

Jake Gylenhaal?? What The Fuck... im not saying hes a crap actor i mean, he was awesome in donnie darko but as the Prince? They should just get a persian dude to do it. 'Hollywoodising' the franchise has its good points and its bad points. for one, its gona have some mad special effects but its just going to turn out like all the other VG-movie failures, not namin any names. *cough* doom.
Still i could be wrong, we should all just give it time and see what becomes of it.
