Ok, so I just watched a BBC documentary on the Chernobyl sarcophagus, published in 1996. At the end of it, there was a teaser for a documentary about airports, with the tagline "A flight has just come in from Amsterdam, and you know what that means..."
It took much effort not to ask the narrator "No, what do you mean?" Does anybody here know what the devil she was going on about?

You open up the plane doors, and a huge cloud of smoke fails to waft out. Since I'd have noticed when I came back from Amsterdam if there was a huge cloud of smoke on the plane.
I went to Holland the other year. It was fun. They have canals.
And lots of pot.
And Russian beer.
EDIT: And as far as I can tell, not alot in the way of supermarkets.

I know what it means, but linking that expression with NOCTURNAL EMMISIONS confused me, so my mind (at almost 3:00 AM) ran away from me trying to find any and all ways for that to make sense. And some of the results...

On the topic of Deathly Hallows: I stopped at the beginning of chapter fifteen a few days ago and haven’t picked it up since. A few years ago, I would have read it twice over by now, and then gone back for more. But this time...I just can't bring myself to care.
It's over, Harry Potter. It was fun while it lasted, but you're just not doing it for me anymore.

I've known a couple people who have liked it. Not too many that consider it a very good novel, of course. In fact, right now I need to plug my ears in order to not hear about spoilers at work.
