QUOTE (Emu @ Mar 31 2007, 10:55 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
prt: can we really have truly random thoughts, or are they just a product of the firings of our neurons triggered by our environment and past experiences, in a way which would be predictable if we knew how to predict it?

I know one thing, all thoughts are by-products of former thoughts. One thought leads to another, as they say.

QUOTE (Slade @ Mar 31 2007, 09:08 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
A pointless random thought is a thought that is rather arbitrary in nature that doesn't really go anywhere. Like, say, idly speculating where Dom Deloise has gone when you're browsing an internet forum.

So a PRT is when you start thinking about something completely different from the situation your in?

If that's true, how does that first thought happen?

Who was young enough to feel genuinely threatened by the V Chip when it first came out?
Check out my crappy drawings!

I miss my accoustic guitar. Maybe I'll need to properly learn it this summer when I'm not working full time.

It dissapeared before people could take it seriously over here.

What an insult. I never saw one but the so called protection is rigidly patronising when someone wants to watch a film or program. One thing I ask, does it protect young people from being targeted by advertisements on non important junk.

So the quantity of numbers used means ruining the quality of young people's entertainment on television. No reasoning required.
