I hate work stories....

Alright, LTTS, if you dislike work stories so much, explain this:

According to a recent comment on my weblog, you seem very much interested in hearing work stories.

I would! If I weren't given reason to complain from time to time I'm sure that my head would explode into a gooey gooey mess.

Speaking of which, you know what I hate more than too-sticky CD price tags? Those STUPID adhesive labels that they put over the top of CDs and DVDs with the title and catalogue number on them. I HATE THEM! I bought a DVD today, and there was one on EACH SIDE of the case! It took me ten minutes just to open the stupid thing.

This calls for a Packaging Code, I think. It shall be as follows -

The CD and DVD pricing and packaging code for retailers. 2004

Any retailer wishing to put pricing, security or any other types of stickers on their CDs or DVDs prior to sale must follow this code.

1. All CDs and DVDs prior to sale must be encased in an envelope-styled plastic wrapper, so that to remove it, one only has to lift a plastic fold and remove their CD or DVD.

2. Any stickers that the retailer wishes to place on the CDs or DVDs will be placed on the outside of the plastic wrapper.

Now, we just have to think of a suitable penalty for anyone who breaches this code.

I think a right good throttling with a cricket bat would do.

Okay, new random though -

How far back do your earliest memories go?

I sort of thought about this a while ago and realised that I could remember recent years very well and in great detail. This goes back into university and I have a pretty good recollection of most of my high-school life. In primary school, the memories are still fairly good, although details are missing and my memory can only really dig up the highlights - who my best friends were, what mischief did I get up to.... it's like "The Best of Primary School" or something like that.

However, when I go into the lower grades and my years before I started school, the memories become more like random samples and sometimes, just vague images. Also, I cannot determine which of these are genuine memories and which of these are just things I formed in my mind on the basis of information older people told me. And under the age of four, I am hard-pressed to even bring a still photograph image to mind.

So I would say the earliest I can really remember is probably no earlier than the age of four. So there are four years of my life where I can't remember anything.

How about you guys? How early can you remember? Is there anybody who can remember their first impressions of this great world we live in, when you first opened your eyes and had a look around? I'd love it if I could remember that.

According to a recent comment on my weblog, you seem very much interested in hearing work stories.

Do you have nothing better to do than pick apart my posts like on the Ogrish FLH forum? It's been done before.

I should've made my point MORE clear then. I hate PART-TIME work stories, because its very similar to talking to someone who is on / near welfare. I wanted to know your work stories however, because I appreciate your views, and wanted to know about the crazies that work with you, and what you thought of them.

Does that make sense to you?

Settle down, jeez...
No one's picking apart anything. I was just curious as to why you'd leave a comment like that on my blog when you claimed to have no interest in hearing such stories. That's all there is to it.

Sorry about that, I guess its my paranoia. And the fact of how I pictured you saying your post. ON top of that, add the fact that I had a really bad dream, and there you go.
Sorry...

You know what I hate? Bitchy bosses that think they own the place. sad.gif

Um yes.... but is anyone interested in the fascinating question about far back their earliest memories go?

Anyone?

I'm not, for one. Not to sound mean, it just doesn't really grab me. I don't dwell on memories from my childhood too much.

I don't want to really remember either - because frankly a lot it would be embarassing. I'm just curious about how far back people CAN remember.

I'm more interested in the ability to recall a vast collection of years than what actually comes up in that recollection. I'm just a bit perplexed why I can't remember a single thing from earlier than a certain age in my life. It's interesting.

Okay, new random thought then - I hate 'women holding their own breasts' magazine, advertisement (etc) photos. I'm not saying I think we should get to have more peep shows in the world or anything, but it does seem rather pointless.

If they're going to flash their breasts, then they should flash their breasts. If they're not going to flash their breasts, then they should wear a top.

Either way, they'll regain the use of their hands and will be free to do something else.

It just seems silly that's all... looks silly too.

"Hey, lookit that there ad! Maybe if I buy the product, I can see the WHOLE breast! *runs to store*"
One of many possible scenarios.

I wonder if I know any such person.
