*raises hand* why brick up the Star Wars forum and fire it into space? Just curious as I'm comming into the game late.

Because in the past the one thing we've learned about starwars is that it brings together all the assholes, racists, zealots, freaks, and perverts of the world (Hannibal, Thrawn, SPQR.....) under a single unifing banner.

there's a bunch of nice folk too, but they're not quite so vocal or annoying.

*muses* seeing that it is all pretty quiet over here (I blame the February low pressure and lack of light in this hemisphere) perhaps it would not be a good idea to brick up a source of even such entertainment as the said assholes... Although some memebers even now try their best as of late to spark mindless bickering...which is annoying but (I admit it with a lot of shame) sometimes funny...

Curious as to what someone had to have said in the Star Wars forums to get labeled a pervert. I can only imagine. sleep.gif

The only member I remember that seemed perverted(or at least enjoyed expressing his thoughts on the matter to the rest of the forum) was Voodoo Dog, but he arose from Yahtzee's board.

Yes, Voodoo Dog was a little bit ehem... oversexed if I may say so. I think he blamed his being Irish for that wink.gif

I think Laughlyn did not quite mean sexual perverts, but by "perverts" he meant people who display a broad range of antisocial behaviour in the forum.

BTW, I am also a refugee from SW forums.

I think I remember Hannibal and Thrawn going at it once or twice. Hannibal was the guy who kept saying star wars was anit-Semitic or something. And Thrawn was the the neo-Nazi. Those posts were fun to read back in the day. laugh.gif Cant say I remember anything SPQR said or that Voodoo person. Oh well.

I often read through old posts. Hannibal, Thrawn, what a pair.

In my opinion SPQR was the worst of them. Hannibal was really egotic, he only had attention in mind, didn't really care about other people. Thrawn was just a primitive troll. SPQR, on the other hand, used quite a psychological method for his insults. He read people's posts and immediately picked weaknesses/soft spots to insult people. It was quite clever, and therefore it hurt most. I was heartily glad when Carlos9 banned him very fast once he started being really offensive.

Voodoo dog was not really that bad, he only had this funny obsession with carnal knowledge.

VD was awsome, i loved him.
Thrawn was a nice guy (with a conflicting political beleif that once ousted was attacked without attempt to reason. any nastyness there i blame most for... he was quite a reasonable person up until the point that half this place turned into a lynch mob... they way he went was purley reactionary... so much for calm intellectual conversation)

infact that's my general complaint for the day...
next time someone comes here with different beleifs (no matter how wrong or conflicting with moral) but acts fine until backed into a corner with insults... perhaps discussing the issue like adults might be in order...

i've seen some of the nicest people act in the nastiest way to more than a few n00bs on occasion... i just hope people remember things acuratley when reflecting on the past...

also... lets stop discussing bannees....
it's like people who complain about shows they claim to be affended by, but never miss an episode...

I really rather liked Voodoo Dog...except when he was talking about submission fetishes and...other stuff.

Yeah...that was creepy.

hey now, I got like around a 1000 on that in seventh grade. Er wait, that's quite a year difference. Nevermind.

Well, I enjoyed the recent row on two different threads, but that's just me whistling.gif
Apparently writing about JM here is his secret weakness. Muwahaha!!!! Now I have leverage over him and am another step closer towards my goal of world domination.

"And the Evil that was vanquished shall rise anew. Wrapped in the guise of man shall he walk amongst the innocent and Terror shall consume they that dwell upon the Earth. The skies will rain fire. The seas shall become as blood. The righteous shall fall before the wicked! And all creation shall tremble before the burning standards of Hell!" - Mephisto

Kurgan X showed me this web comic done with Legos. It pokes fun at all six Star Wars films and I found it to be extremely entertaining.

PRT: Valentine's day is tomorrow, in case you hadn't noticed. I had the brilliant idea to walk to a store a couple of miles away in a blizzard in which you couldn't see ten feet in front of you to buy flowers for my parents. This would be a wonderfully inspiring story to tell them if the flowers didn't now look as if I got them out of a dumpster somewhere. Cold is apparantly not very good for irises and roses. Or daisies. But the mini-roses and carnations look all right.
Of the flowers I got for my father, however, only one is in any way salvageable.
Maybe they'll think it was touching. Maybe they'll think it was stupid.
