Every now and again, on rare occasions... you get a clever TV commercial.

I liked the Nike ad that was on a bit over a year ago about the man running away from the chicken. That was good.

I don't often think about the terrible damage people are doing to the environment.

And I realised that the reason I don't often think about it is because it is terrifying.

All these people all over the world, consuming so many resources, so much stuff going to waste for stupid causes - luxury goods, casinos, shitty CDs, unnecessary wars, electricity to run George Lucas' Skywalker ranch, etc

And you look at how small the world is and you think, man, we cannot keep going like this.

... and this is why I don't like to think about the issue too often.

No. I'm just posting things here for fun. When there's no new topics in any of the forums or new replies... I post something here. It's something I do to relieve myself of boredom. smile.gif

I just clicked on something at the MSN homepage about workplace burnout - thinking it might have something relevant for me. But no, it was all for employers not employees.

And I realise that this is not the first time. In fact, I've seen lots of stuff from MSN for employers.

To take this kind of thing further, I've also realised that most of the travelogues or home shows in the western world seem to cater for people who have a VERY large sum of money in their bank accounts.

This comes across so clearly when someone on the show says something stupid like "And you can stay here for JUST $600 a night."

Why don't they make these things a little bit more relevant to normal people?

...seeing how normal people are in the majority over employers and the filthy rich.

It just doesn't seem right.

Did you know that size 12 underwear sells like hot cakes?
But the size 5 underwear are left alone?

Leaves me more choice!

That's because employees are only machines to be manipulated and used to their employers own delight. And that can be quite stressful.

For the four years that Nirvana was larger than life, I think Kurt did not like the attention he and his band got from the tabloids.

Was Rape Me a stab at the Media?

This is just another pointless random question. I'm sure hec knows something about this, being a music buff and all. What say you man? Of course this question is open to anybody that knows.

I don't know much about a lot of Cobain's lyrics because I try not to read into them too much. I'm sure "his" book probably contains the answer, but I haven't read it in full. I feel guilty every time I pick it up.

Starting something is always a big deal. I don't know about other people, but whenever I start something, I'm always stuck with this obligation to finish it.

I was battling it out with my novel earlier this evening and I thought my evenings would be so much more relaxing if I hadn't started this thing up.

Nobody's making me write this thing but it's just ... there ... sitting there on my hard-drive, looking me accusingly and saying "Finish this, you lazy sod!"

Thankfully, I don't have that complex. That's why neither short story that I've started has been completed.
