Tonight, we abandoned the poultry of yesteryear (or yesterday) for a bold new aquatic frontier: fish.

Nate roasted a vermillion red snapper (Nate says this means it's "extra red," but I suspect there may be other differences) with lemon, garlic, garlic scapes from the share, shallots and potatoes.

Served with a side of salad (with the lettuce from the share) and the zucchini sauteed with olive oil, garlic scapes, garlic, lemon and the purple basil from the share, it was a nice, simple, clean-tasting meal. Nate claims the zucchini was too salty, but I disagree: I think it was perfectly seasoned.

A great meal, but I'm a little discouraged: all we have left is a handful of lettuce, a head of bok choy and the head of broccoli. The share claims it's enough food for a family of four for a week, or "two enthusiastic vegetable eaters," but I feel that while it's a lot of food, it's more like, "Enough for two adults of a regular level of enthusiasm for three meals." Perhaps as the months go on it will pick up the pace? Although I suspect as well that we will be in France for the two single most productive weeks in August.
