To me, this seems utterly ridiculous at the same time as totally awesome.

The DC universe will take place in modern day. From this, I gather there will be no "future" characters like "V" from V for Vendetta. MK vs DCU will feature a story mode from two different perspectives, one from the DC side, and one from the MK side. Ed Boon mentioned that the DC characters will see the MK characters as the invaders, and vice-versa. The character count may be 22 characters total. 20 is the minimum expected. As before, half will be MK and half will be DC. Ed Boon said that the most "iconic" characters from MK and DC will appear. Equally, there will be various MK and DC arenas.

Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and Sonya, have been confirmed for the MK side, and Batman, Flash, and Superman are confirmed for the DC side. A note about Superman, due to the universal merger storyline, he is weakened by the magic effects, making him a balanced character. One thing that is not known to some people is that Superman's weakness is not limited to Kryptonite, he can also be weakened by magic. ..."

Seems like an okay idea. I might buy it if I had sixty bucks burning a hole in my pocket.

V isn't a future character, though. I think the book took place somewhere in the late '90s. A fighting game with V would be crazy awesome.

The trailer looked cool but highly unplayable. Batman was clearly winning, however, so I approve.

Seriously though, why must people go after money all the freakin' time? Mortal Kombat 1-4 were perfect, awesome, effing great. What the hell is up with this? Mortal Kombat used to be cool, gory, and now... It's being made into THIS?




Ok, ok, I'll stop foaming at the mouth now. This whole just gets my ulcer in a knot, though...

Seems the reviews were fairly positive from E3, as far as the engine goes. That's good considering most fighting games based on existing IPs have poor gameplay. The aerial combat and close quarters mechanics seem interesting as long as it's not a game breaking mechanic.

As far as this sucking? Quite possible, however I don't think it's worth getting so worked up over. Still hoping for the best. Unfortunately, I doubt this will be a MVC2 killer, although it would be nice to have (considering we won't see another MVC title).

Until I find out that they put Cassandra Cain in it. If they do that, I would pay about three hundred dollars for this one game
