ugh, Snakes mustache is soo gross. definately not sexy. mgs1 was awesome, but i thought it knew it was silly. then mgs2 followed that stupid pansey raiden. but youre right, yahtzee was very fair. i like it best when his criticizm is balenced like this. i like teh mix of funny and mean comments and actuall , and you quoted my favorite lines fromi t, too! wii is the STUPIDEST name ever

"So, I heard yu liek satire." lol u herd rite!

"Splinter Cell was always the superior stealth espionage game." no, it was moer like trying to play a generic tom clancey novel. very dull and linear, boooooring. i prefer the silliness of mgs to generic 3rd world terrorists trying to blow up americas freedom

"Video isn't working and I cant be assed downloading latest Firefox patch so I will assume that Yahtzee is just bitching about MGS4 because he is payed to bitch about MGS4." sad.gif yuo should watch it. it's sooooo funny! yahtzee gets paid, but you can tell when hez hearts not in it, and he wanted to review this one!

The answer is yes, but good luck getting a single person to profess their proficiency.

I would have thought that what Zewb said would have been enough, if not a bit harsh to someone who at least looks like they're making a concious effort to use capitals, commas and quotation marks. What you have done is just flamed then said something random and added a meme.
I'm not going to blame Zewb for this one.

Oh, and I have heard the game is pretty average, too.

Do you possibly have Adblock Plus and a filterset installed? In which case, you just need to disable it on The Escapist to get video goodness. Otherwise, on your own.

How exactly is Metal Gear non-linear? Move forward, shoot bad guys, sit through codec segment, watch cut scene, repeat. The only thing that makes it come close to being non-linear is the stupid backtracking segments in every game, like freezing the bombs in MGS2 and getting the sniper rifle to save Meryl in MGS, and both of those segments were not fun at all. What exactly is wrong with a linear game anyway? All these fags read Game Informer and see the word non-linear on every fucking 8/10 review and suddenly think all games have to be open-world GTA clones. Splinter Cell might have the typical Tom Clancy plot, but it's way more fun to play and you don't have to sit through hours of cut-scenes full of endless plot holes, anti-nuclear propaganda, and poorly written dialog.

Hideo Kojima, here is some advice: if you want to make a game with a lot of cut-scenes, don't make them really shitty - make awesome cut-scenes like this one:

The most memorable cut scene in that game. Though MGS4 had its few shares of interesting cutescenes.

Sir, I take offence to that remark.

I enjoyed the game, minus all the BS. I hadn't played MG since the first MGS, but decided to give this a go. It wasn't ass biting hard nor totally breeze through, and the breaking of the fourth wall in places was fun without going overboard. Plus I don't think I could hate Drebin and his monkey ever.

Meanwhile, the ZP review was duly funny. I'd gladly rib the folks who think that plot complexity is always a good thing. Sometimes a rock is just a rock, Mr. Tolkien.

The most fun I ever had playing Splinter Cell was not the single player experience; it was getting online and playing co-op. Little did they (my partner) know that I was a double agent hell-bent on getting them killed in action.

Since speaking into your mic too loud will alert nearby enemies, I would wait for my "partner" to be near them. Then I would sneak behind a nearby wall and yell, "HE'S OVER HERE!", mute my mic and then laugh as they began shooting round after round into his face.

Another fun thing to do was to get my "partner" to give me a boost into a high window, and then while he was waiting below for me to reach down for him, I'd toss a grenade down instead.

OR I would sneak ahead, close a door behind me, watch through the window in the door as he crept closer, and then bash the door into his face right as he was about to open it.

OR I would pull out my camera scrambler, wait for him to be right in front of where the camera was pointing, and then pull the scrambler away.

I could go on all day, but man. WAY more fun than playing through the game seriously.

Retard was actually my backup degree incase my doctorate in dumbass studies wasn't enough to land me a job. I majored in dumfuck studies at Cambridge and recieved my doctorate there.

and i think he said he liked one game better than naother.

The most fun I had in ANY game has always been "co op" notice that I put that in quotes for much the same reasons that make it a misnomer for what you did. In this day and age there is no reason that any game should lack co op, even if its an rpg. That really pissed me off about KOTOR2, after days twinking my guy to be the ultimate dark side asshole he kills/rapes an old woman and then that's it? Bastards!

Every game needs to have co op or at least vs mode, and it should also have some good asshole physics engine, where you can fuck with people and objects and get reactions from both.

i make one post and everybody already hates me? what did i do? sad.gif im sorry about the typos, geeze. everybody is allowed to make mistakes.

"I can't make out a word of this. Does anyone here speak retard?" I SPEAK ENGLISH. youre just being an ass because i disagreed with you, i bet. and the game itself is still linear, i meant theres not a direct straight line you follow in order to win. in splinter cell, if you stray from your path for one moment, you lose and just start over from your checkpoint or whatever. at least you can make your own path in mgs.

"Durtt, or whatever your stupid name is, you're stupid, and your name is an anagram of troutkrieg! Have the fish lords sent you to declare war on their felshy, air breathing oppresors:? I think yes." huh? ive never thought of that, and im not in league with any fish lords. you dont need to be such a big dick. im probably smarter than you! at least smart enough to be nice to people i dont know.

"I, for one, have never moved a group of established, ceremonious, usually religious acts." lol sorry for offending you happy.gif

"Meanwhile, the ZP review was duly funny. I'd gladly rib the folks who think that plot complexity is always a good thing. Sometimes a rock is just a rock, Mr. Tolkien." yeah, perfect statement. sums everything up nicely. the late mr. jordan could have learned that too!

"I already told you all that he had come to wage troutkrieg against us. The evidence is clear in his name, what more do you need!>?" im not a troll and i dont know what your talking about! leave me and those fish people youre talking about alone!
