Tryign to play The Trials Of Odysseus Kent, and not having any luck. The windows version simply crashes out, whereas the DOS version looks like this:
obviously, this is somewhat unplayable...anyone got any ideas why this is so?

Gonna need some more information. For instance, what version of Windows are you running? Have you tried any other AGS games? Any success with them, or can you not run the AGS engine at all?

XP with SP2. This is the only AGS game that doesn't work for me, all the others (Adventures of... Chzo Mythos... 1213...) work fine

Along with the Rob Blanc games? Because I think the Trilby/1213/etc. games were made with a newer AGS version than Odysseus Kent and the Rob Blanc games. Perhaps this is the problem.
Just tried RB1, it works fine

Hmmm. Have you tried running it in Win 98 or 95 compatibility mode?
yeah, tried that. still no use. Even tried the "256 colours" and 640x480 settings as well
