I thought I'd ask you guys what movies you would like to grill next so I put up four titles I am thinking of.
I intend to grill all four of them eventually if somebody doesn't beat me to it.
It's just a question of which one should go first?
Also if you have any of your own suggestions, please let me know and if I have seen the movie and think it deserves the grilling treatment, I'll roast it over the coals....
.... again if someone doesn't beat me to it.
So share your thoughts and let the fun begin!

Well I myself would like to grill Batman Returns. Up there, I would also put Deuce Bigalow, one of the worst movies I've seen (which is good, it means I haven't seen too many bad movies), and Mars Attacks, just because I thought Burton could have done so much better and instead just made it so ridiculously stupid that it wasn't funny. Unbreakable was pretty disappointing as well, but I don't know if that deserves a true grilling.
Oh, and not because I think they are BAD movies, per se, but because I think they are extremely overrated, I would consider grilling the first 2 Alien movies (haven't seen the other 2). I was expecting so much more from them, but I didn't think Alien was that suspenseful or scary, and I didn't think Aliens was that exciting. I do admire the craftmanship of the 2 movies, and maybe they were good at the time and don't hold up, I don't know, but I just was very disappointed with them. Can't think of any other movies yet, I'll get back to you.
I can't really vote here, because I never saw Titanic or Starship Troopers, and I thought Spiderman was fun enough. It was very corny, and a lot of the acting sucked, but I was smiling while watching it, I thought for what it was it was fun.

Okay. That sounds cool with me. Unless anyone else suddenly comes along, I think we'll go with Batman Returns for the next grilling.
Mike said he wants to be the one to start the Spiderman grilling so I'm going to wait for him on that one anyway.
It did make me smile at some points too but it was pretty stupid. I really didn't care for William Dafoe's performance, his character and his character's alter-ego. But don't worry. I will just lightly grill it.
I haven't actually seen Titanic from start to finish either. But I've seen enough and I hate the fact that so many people think this is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Titanic all the way. That movie was so overrated. Why people viewed it mulitiple times is beyond me.
George Lucas even made a statement "nobody will ever beat Titanic" on the extras bit for the Phantom Menace DVD.
I can't recall much about the movie, it was so long ago since I first (and last) saw it.
I do remember reading a site that listed the number of inconsitences in the film for that period in time. Even the physics of leonardo dieing at the end was goofed. It showed him with frost on his face. Apparently, that could not have happened.

"Grill a Movie" is a trademark of Just Your Average Movie Goer ltd. copyright 2004
However, Jordan, you may feel free to use this if you like:
"Roast a movie slowly over an open fire, while you're cooking sausages."
And thank you, Heccubus, for the offer. If I finish a few of these grillings, I'll send them over to you.
I'd still like to sort of try a few more out here on the forum.. as a kind of test-run.
Because if I get lucky, someone might occasionally indulge me in a little debate about a particular movie's merits... and that can be a lot of good fun.
