This weeks ZP is...a repeat?
It's the console rundown again, which confuses me to no end.
Does this mean no new ZP this week?

Apparently there are webbys to be collected in NYC.

This is a bit crap. I can wait another week, but I wish I didn't have to. Oh well.

If you're referring to the forum post it seems that was posted over a year ago, unless they bizarrely edited a post from last August. Very odd indeed.

And to be honest, they could have just admitted there was no new one instead of using the same one again.

Did you not read the thing next to the new video?
I mean, how hard is it to take less then a minute to read it.
It was right next to the video.
It clearly said Yahtzee is away/busy and so they're showing a repeat until he gets back.
They didn't even pretend it wasn't a repeat.

Bah, stupid Escapist, it totally didn't have that note there when I first looked at it.

I still don't see the point in showing a repeat though, especially when most of the points made in that particular ZP are no longer fully relevant.

Sounds good. I guess Yahtzee was the only good looking one in the escapist's bunch (or probably the most unique). That must be ES's way of making profit and a name for themselves right after what DC-Interactive did with Painkiller's "gold edition" (you know, the "shuriken and Lightning").

When I was looking at the voters comment section, I could only see too names:

Yahtzee

&

Zero Punctuation

Sneaky bastards! But then again, like we can complain. Complaining won't produce another ZP.

I thought they did that as an answer to "yahtzee reuses a joke".

Yeah, but here's the thing: when you have all of your videos archived so you can view any of them at any time, showing you a "repeat" is like making an exact replica of the Mona Lisa and putting it in the room right next door to the real thing because "you all seemed to enjoy it so much". Not that Yahtzee can be equated to Da Vinci.

Come on, Escapist -- if that is your real name. If you absolutely had to show us a rerun, why the Console Rundown? Most of the jokes don't apply anymore. For instance, the 360 has mostly fixed all of the RROD problems and the PS3 has some pretty decent games (that line about it being good sometime in the future? That's now, even though I still won't buy one).

My point is, why not snag one of Yahtzee's earlier videos, one that they don't have archived on their site already? They're still funny and relevant, since the games haven't changed (unlike the consoles) and I'm sure there's at least one lazy fan who never bothered to look them up.

END OF RANT

Why not just get someone to pretend to be the y-man and see if anyone notices?

I can't believe I was so slow on getting this.
It seems to be working.
