[sarcasm]Don't you think you kind of, you know, "wasted" you time?

I mean, you could do millions of other things like:
Going on an exciting adventure
Counting the number of countries in the world
Studying
Looking for a second job (if you have one already)
Finding a second girlfriend (I just presume you already have one)
Getting laid (option which comes after the above)
Aborting your child (what Tim Buckley did)
Planning for world domination
Watching/reading some other funny scetches
Writing a poem (which I'm sure you can't)
Aiding a super hero in saving the day
Designing a new weapon to fight off evil does and N.Koreans)
Going out for some fresh air
Wikipedia
Suicide

Or...

You can sit behind the PC and talking about some guy reusing a joke while every body else is like "so what".[/sarcasm]

But seriously, get your ass off the chair and your eyes off the screen.

I really don't think you guys are listening. It's like you read the name of the thread and thought that made you qualified to comment, or maybe you want to troll but don't have a legitimate reason so you had to make one up.

I don't care that he reused the joke. I care that he made it unfunny.

What was the point of the sarcasm brackets if you were equally dickish in and outside of them? It makes me wonder what you were being sarcastic about.

And also, what exactly is a formula and not a joke? And so obviously a formula that it needs to be put in all caps?

And AdamM, if you do want flame me don't involve the others, they've made it clear they don't care.

But of course you guys are right, I did waste my time. Trying to have an intellectual discussion on the FullyRamblomatic Forums. Oops.

Don't get me wrong, I'm up for intellectual discussion. The only requirement is that it be about shit that actually matters. Good goddamn.

Fine, then, we will discuss what exactly qualifies something as "important." I'll begin.

Absolutely nothing. Nothing matters because we'll all be dead eventually.

That means of course nothing is more important that anything else.

I might understand you complaining if recorded this one a tape and put it on a boombox in your front lawn, but you are not required to come and look at it. I don't respond to most of this forum because most of it (the Zero Punctuation Godmothering Fan Art thread) really doesn't interest me. I don't go about complaining that no one wants to see people's goddamn imitations of white circles on a yellow background because it's obvious some people do and there's no reason just to antagonize them.

If this is a forum in which my bloody fan-circles matter, I think my problem with Yahtzee--a comedian--failing at a joke is at least as relevant.

But it isn't unfunny. You've picked up on the pettyest little thing in the whole wide world.

The gag did become a bit more forced, I'll admit that. But I don't think it's worth a whole thread...

God, people. The Internet is not the place for penis size comparisons. The guy wanted to discuss something. Maybe you didn't, but there's no reason to turn into huge turd burglars about it.

It's very simple: if you don't want to discuss something, don't talk about it. If you must complain about it, do it in a private message or talk to a mod. But please, for God's sake, can't you just be civil? So I can pretend that this is a semi-intellectual place to post?

You want to have "semi-intellectual" discussions about a single joke? This is astonishing. I refuse to stand by and let the exasperating futility and moronity of this thread wash over your vacuous little heads.

And the out of context award goes to...

I meant the forum in general. By the way, when you post over and over in a thread about how stupid it is, the first thing that comes to mind is not your overwhelming intellect. You also don't come across as way too cool for school.

Personally I saw nothing at all wrong with the joke in question and find analyzing it to this extent to be most pointless.
Besides, with the high speed delivery of Zero Punctuation, I'm sure things often need streamlining somewhat, or else some people might miss them.

well, Josh, there's just no point to it at all.

First of all, i doubt whether yahtzee even meant it as a joke, merely as clarification for the different titles of the movies.

Second, oh noes! yahtzee has repeated something he said years back!

Third, occasionally, when no real joke about something can be made, rather then break the mood of a humorous piece for even a few seconds, a comedian may decide to insert a pseudo-punchline or joke so that the jokes after that segment will continue from the build-up and hopefully be seen as funnier. For these purposes, the pseudo-joke has to be fairly obvious.
