Oh how I do hope Snape will be snide with someone in this one! wub.gif

Yes. That's all I had to say, except that if I'm still alive in november I shall be there, with my wizard hat and all.

Also, a while ago MSNBC was all "Harry Potter Actor stabbed to death" and I was all "fuck" but then they said it was just like basically an extra. Those guys really like to get a reaction.

Actually I gave up my daily coke, but anything is possible, and so things so far away must be said with qualifiers. If God wills it, as Muslims put it.

I'm thinking of seriously trying it if I can find some scans of the comics.

Havent heard anything about the HP thing as of yet.

Fawk. They moved it back to like summer of 09. They are clearly under the imperius curse from some evil wizard. Or maybe nargles are involved...

Also, Aquaman- for about the last half of season 2, the NY clan was without Goliath. That's STILL better than that shit they pulled with the new series on ABC or whatever. That was truly some awfulness right there.

After that travesty of a fifth movie, I've decided not to watch any more of these. It's close enough to the books to pollute my perception of them, but not close enough to satisfy me or be good.

Also, how old are these kids now? 27? >_> I know they can't help it, but it's still something I can complain about.

Fifth movie? Nah, I'd say the Fourth movie was the worst! Especially if you've read the book. The fifth film had some unnecessary scenes in it and some things that didn't happen in the book, but the first three films did that too.

The fourth film I have the biggest gripe with because almost everything was out of order. The only thing they got partly right was Voldemort coming back, and even that was messed up because the cauldron didn't form robes on him. (Although that sound was pretty cool when it happened)

I dunno, I could rip on GoF as much as I enjoy rippin' on the PT. And what the hell was up with everyone's hair in that movie!? And what's with Hermione about to explode in tears in almost every scene of this film? Check her out when explaining the "unforgivable curses." No one asked her to say them all right there, what's she about to BAAWWWW for?

I could go on about this one. (GoF that is)

Order of the Phoenix was the most amazing achievement in the film series. They took an unreadable book and made a half-decent film out of it. I'm not saying it was any good, but I didn't mind so much that I payed 11 GBP to see it.

I dunno. 5 was not the best book, but I think 6 was worse - 6 was just unnecessary teenage angst angst angst angst angst, oh what there's only a couple chapters left? We better rush some plot in... angst angst. So I'm kinda wincing as I anticipate how the movie will pan out. I hope they cut some of the angst in favour of the plot.

Because they sure didn't do that in movie 5. Gah. They left out some better bits just so they could fit in some more angst angst. And angst that didn't even make any sense if you hadn't read the books. A friend of mine was like, wtf why is Cho all teary after kissing Harry? Because they didn't explain her relationship with Cedric. (Or if they did it was so badly rushed that neither of us noticed it.) And the movie just plain didn't make sense in a lot of parts, for anyone that hadn't read the books. A lot of that was due to leaving things out in both movies 4 and 5.

I think 4 was a better movie over all, but like I mentioned, lots of stuff was left out so that I'm wondering how future movies will make much sense. If they're as incoherent as movie 5... Well.

At least we'll get some sexy Snape scenes.
I am writing about Jm in my signature because apparently it's an effective method of ignoring him.

Yeah, you've got some points there, Spoon.

I thought that book six was lunacy in terms of an actual plot. The title only made sense at the very end of the book and even then, I was asking so what's really happening here?

Book 5 as a story I enjoyed, along with 3 and 4. The last book was alright, but to close the series off, it felt rushed... or something. I guess some details about Snape shouldn't have been glossed over so much in the 5th and 6th books. The 7th book doesn't seem to do him justice at all, IMO.

Snape was my fav. and as I can see, he's well liked around here, so why was he written as a villain even in the book that's supposed to be about him, but wasn't?! It didn't build tension around the character, it just made me want to see him do something either sinister or good. Didn't matter, I liked him a lot. More so than main characters, ... especially that Weasly kid.

Eh, if all of you hated book five, don't mind me. I'm part of that hardcore lunatic fringe of fans who like the fifth book. And it's actually my personal favorite of all the books, although 7 is close. So what everyone else sees as necessary simplification, clarification, and abridgment in the fifth movie, I see as rape.

I predict this movie is going to suck ass! Just like the last two, though I will probably still watch it when it comes out on HBO. While I loathe the HP series, I remain always, an Alan Rickman fan. I’d watch anything with him in it at least once. Then I’d watch it again, but fast forward through the parts he’s not in. Incidentally, I do own all of the HP movies… I’m just throwing that out there.

Rickman rocks house. I think my views on this have been amply expostulated on with Slade.

Also, attention Harry Potter people: It is 70 degrees out. Ergo it is summer. Ergo gimme my damn movie!
