Bao-Dur is the name of the character you're refering to.

Do you know the trick for unlimited exp points in the Sith Tomb on Korriban? It works best if you're Dark Side aligned and after level 18 (possessing Force Wave and Drain).

As for the last level, I was dissapointed with how easy it was to storm the place, kill everyone, and stomp all over Sion and Kreia. Whereas KotOR's Star Forge level was hard as nails even if you had Jolie & Juhani, or Bastilla and HK-47 (with all self repair capabilities in tact). And it was irritating that no one else was with you to dish out a beating on the last level. Especially playing Dark Side, and doing nice things in front of Bao-Dur and Handmaiden so that you can talk them into being evil.

I'd say the highest level that I had my party members was around 43-45. I was sitting at about 48. I wouldn't level them up unless they were about to get killed, or I wanted them to finally be Force aligned.

A few of you were talking about how Kreia encourages you to find strength balance in the force being neither light or dark. This is an idea that is definitely explored in the New Jedi Order series- if anyone else has read them; Jacen meets and old jedi called Vergere who introduces the concept of the unifying force.

I think the point is that the PT are aimed not at an audience who want high quality writing and complex story arcs. Hollywood is at the end of the day, geared to pleasing the lowest common denominator and if that pisses the fans off then whatever- George is still stupidly rich, he clearly doesn't feel the need to win respect of critical acclaim.

As for another KOTOR, I'm not getting my hopes up as with two more mass effects on the way, I can't see when they would get around to making it.
We can be richer than industry, as long as we know that there are things that we don't really need.

I noticed this also from Kyle Katarn in Jedi Academy. After you had a balance of dark and light Force powers, he'd give you encouragement, while Luke would say some trash like, "Your future is clouded, make the right decisions." And Kyle even stated earlier in this game that "There are no good or bad Force powers, but it depends on how you use them."

I think that I may have to read more about this "unifying force." I strongly think that's what it should be.

Yeah, I need to get him to a Jedi, he seems suited to it. And yes, theres also one on Dxun. That level up deal on Korriban can be done by light side Jedi provided they have drai nforce or a fuckton of medpacks. More importantly I discovered how to fit FOUR character crystals into a single light saber. I was a murder machine... of light, of course.

And yeah, the end was ridiculously easy even with only one player. Even the prestige classes went down too easy. The fight with Kreia was neat but didnt require nearly as much skill as in KOTOR1. And WTF was with Kreia sending Hanharr to randomly kill one of your party? What the shit man? "hey, this guy has ten other people with him, think I'll send my pet fur ball to kill one of them"

I don't know the purpose of the Hanharr/Mira situation. Okay, so they were both bonty hunters, with a grudge, and a sour lifedebt, and did I mention they were bounty hunters? Big deal. I learned nothing from either of the characters and I didn't need either of the characters. I didn't even use G0-T0 and HK-47 wasn't as good (funny) in this game.

I did get around to making Mira a Jedi but she was still lacking a lot of character development. Maybe because conversations in this game weren't as engaging in this game as they were in the first. Kreia was the only character that you could keep on talking with and she'd usually have something new to say, kinda like Bastilla.

Yet I must say that the writing of diologue between characters and mostly the background stories were pretty good. Finding out what Atton did in the past was interesting, learning about the Sith from Visas was cool, and Handmaidens uneasiness about you being evil (if you choose) was always funny. However with Mandalore, Hanharr/Mira, and Bao-dur, there was only one way those conversations were going and they got stale all too fast.

Oh, and how did you get FOUR crystals in one lightsaber?! That's crazy! I did like the Kaiburr, Quixiony (sp), and those Saphires a lot.

after I'd beaten the game for the oh.....20th time, I decided to mess around with some of those Super Saber cheats and the unlimited XP glitch on Korriban.

Suffice to say, I finished my last quest with a level 50 Sith Lord, while wielding a saber that did somewhere in the neighborhood of 80-135 damage. Words cant express how hilarious it was cutting motherfuckers down with a single stroke of my blade, and whenever I got bored, I would just Force Crush everyone in my path with no saber in hand. I used Mind Trick on Nihlus and Sion, and just kinda stood there and waited for them to snap out of it. laugh.gif

I remember my best game was where I was like a level 49 Sith Marauder and I'd select the "frenzy" option and tear through anything and everyone. I wielded two lightsabers for close combat and one dualblade for throwing. As much as I loved being a Sith Lord or Jedi Master, it was waaayyy too easy to stomp entire levels to nothing. I chose the Guardian path because it was more violent with close combat whippery!

Ahh, good times indeed.

And I forgot about "Force Crush!" No one could repell that crap! I just wish the game got progressively difficult after you leveled up past 35. Things were too simple when I got to the point of leaving everyone on the ship and taking levels apart on my own.

If a third game is in the works, it would be great if they don't rush anything and Bioware takes the wheel.

laugh.gif sometimes I would just tear through entire levels with no weapons in hand. I had virtually unlimited Force usage. I'd usually bring T-3 along for each planet for shits and giggles. I'd be ripping swarms of enemies to pieces, and this guy would be in the background firing off weak laser shots. Hilarious.

The character that I liked to have tag along mostly would be Visas because she would ask questions and comment on my actions and it would be funny because of my Dark alignment, you'd think she knew these answers already, being that she is a Sith.

Best laughs from her were when tricking the old man to open the door in the underground portion of the Jedi Enclave on Dantooine. She and Kriea alike admired my decision to have that man killed by vicious beasts.

Or when I was on Onderon and I wanted to kill the Jedi Master in the Bar, but the soldiers showed up and wanted to start shooting the place up, and Visas remarks on "All of the sick and weak people need to be cleansed from this place." And I responded, "Cleanse away, Visas." I paused the game and laughed for a while. Or when Visas would ask why I killed someone and she felt the desire to kill also, I'd tell her that, "We all have our choices to make in life, and you made the right one." laugh.gif

Ahh, there needed to be a character like her in the PT. Then I could understand Anakin more if he had fallen for a chick like her.

Best dialogue option and darkside temptation in the game has to go to Telos though.

"Have you come to torment me like the others?"

"Why yes, yes I have!"

Forget it.

"I felt insulted until I realized that the people trying to mock me were the same intellectual titans who claimed that people would be thrown out of skyscrapers and feudalism would be re-institutionalized if service cartels don't keep getting political favors and regulations are cut down to only a few thousand pages worth, that being able to take a walk in the park is worth driving your nation's economy into the ground, that sexual orientation is a choice that can be changed at a whim, that problems caused by having institutions can be solved by introducing more institutions or strengthening the existing ones that are causing the problems, and many more profound pearls of wisdom. I no longer feel insulted because I now feel grateful for being alive and witnessing such deep conclusions from my fellows."
