Just one hooker, Patch? I'm sure they could afford two, possibly three.

I'm pretty sure you mean Game Over. Patch was talking about the degeneration of the plot that happens in games like this.

I'm going to assume it is. The series has probably been changed and twisted so far from the original series that it may suffer from Indigo Prophecy syndrone sometime when an amateur writer or game designer gets it.

Previously I had only played Alone in the Dark 4 (which I thought was rubbish) so I can't comment on the plots of previous games really, but in the new Alone in the Dark, the plot is generally quite bad throughout. It could be worse though.

I am vaguely familiar with the plot of the first. It's something like a man has died, then there is a portal spawning evil monsters in the house. It's meant to be in the H.P Lovecraftian style.

That's the second one and it was shit because there was too much fighting which, combined with the clunky controls, made the game vey frustrating. The first and the third one were made of awesome, though.

I'd love to get his opinion(s) on the Oddworld series. Namely Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus. Incredibly good-looking, fun to the core, challenging, and a vast world that's off it's head. Then again, as if the avatar isn't obvious enough, I'm a raving fan of the series, and thus makes it another fanboy request. Next I'll be asking him to discuss the hidden meanings behind Sonic 2...

I think he'd like them, he seemed to like Flashback, although the fact that there were about 30 actions mapped to three buttons and a D Pad was seen as an annoyance.
