After 16 years of silence, shoegaze pioneers / legends My Bloody Valentine have finally reunited and began touring. This in and of itself was exciting for me. However, earlier today, I successfully procured two tickets to see them when they hit Toronto in September.
Anyone who has ever heard them can probably understand why I am so excited right now.

That is all.

Only Shallow melts my face, baby! I bought loveless for 8.99 at a second hand store in the late 90's, what a deal! The drummer from Interpol swears by them and never forgets to plug their record whenever he's being interviewed.

EVERY band swears by them, I think. It's not really a stretch to call them one of the most influential bands of the 80s and 90s. The fact that they disappeared from the radar for 16 years and managed to remain relevant is really saying something.
